“Let a healthy person think about the times when he was sick. What happened to those times? They went away yet the reward remained.
Similarly, the sweetness of following lusts escapes sooner, but the punishment remains.”

'Īsā عليه السلام used to say: "Do not speak much without the mention of Allāh for you will harden your hearts. A hard heart is far from Allāh, but you do not know. Do not look at the wrong actions of people as if you were lords. Look at your wrong actions as if you were slaves. Some people are afflicted by wrong action and see people are protected from it. Be merciful to the people of affliction and praise Allāh for His protection."

Friends ❤️
Ibn Abī Abdillāh ibn Khatīb رحمه الله mentions:
“Ibn Hamdūn رحمه الله had paper which had 300 names of his friends written on it, and he would supplicate for [all of] them every night!”
[Sifatu As-Safwa: 1/493]
*This highlights how true of a friend he was to his companions and how much he cared for them.
Now let’s ask ourselves, how many of us have friends like that, or are like that with our companions?
It is either due to our forgetfulness or our lack of concern for our companions.
However, the majority do genuinely forget, and this is how mankind is generally created, to be forgetful:
وما سُمّيَ الإنسانُ إلّا لنسيّه
ولا القلبُ إلّا أنّه يتقلّبُ
“A person is not called Insan (human) except due to his forgetfulness, and the heart [is not called heart] except due to the fact that it [constantly] changes state”
And there is great virtue in supplicating for your brothers and sisters in their absence. It comes in the hadith of Umm Ad-Darda’ رضي الله عنها in Sahih Muslim that the Prophet ﷺ said:
دعوة المرء المسلم لأخيه بظَهْرِ الغيب مستجابة، عند رأسه مَلَك مُوَكَّلٌ كلما دعا لأخيه بخير قال الملك المُوَكَّلُ به: آمين، ولك بمِثْلٍ
“The supplication of a Muslim for a fellow Muslim in his absence is answered. At his head, there is an entrusted angel. Whenever one invokes good for his brother, the entrusted angel says: 'Amen, and likewise to you.'"
But I have found that the most easy and simple way to do this noble act of worship is by supplicating for them whenever their name is mentioned.
For example, after their name is mentioned, you add:
May Allah preserve him (حفظه الله)
May Allah grant him success (وفقه الله)
May Allah elevate him (رفعه الله)
May Allah bless him (بارك الله فيه)
And the likes of this.
And if they are far from Allāh, or upon misguidance, or their current state is not pleasant, then you say:
May Allah guide him (هداه الله)
May Allah rectify him (أصلحه الله)
And the likes of this.
And by this, you are considered from those who supplicate for their brothers and sisters in their absence.

Forgotten Sunnah — Method to Dispel Anxiety, Grief, Restlessness, Rusty Limbs during ‘Ibadah, Imaan Lows or Dips and General Uneasiness Caused by (Unknown) Sins❗️
Abu Bakr al-Siddîq رضي الله عنه said: I heard the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ say:
There is no one who commits a sin then purifies himself well and stands and prays two rak’ahs, then asks Allâh for forgiveness, except that Allâh will forgive him.
Then he recited this verse:
‘And those who, when they have committed Fâhishah (evil, indecencies, shameful deeds) or wronged their selves with evil, remember Allâh and ask forgiveness for their sins; — and none can forgive sins but Allâh — and do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know’ [Âl-e-‘Imrân, 3:135].
