The Prophet ﷺ said:

"If the people knew the reward for pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row (in the congregational prayer) and found no other way to get it except by drawing lots they would do so."

Whenever Az-Zibriqān ibn Badr would marry off one of his daughters, he would say:

"كُونِي لَهُ أَمَةً يَكُنْ لَكِ عَبْدًا"

“Be a servant to him and he will be a servant to you!”

[‘Uyūn Al-Akhbār: 4/364]

Imām ‘Abd As-Salam رحمه الله said:

"It is not permissible to mention problematic issues in the presence of laymen, because this may become the source of their delusion and doubts.”

[القواعد الكبرى ٤٠٢/٢]

Imām Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“ليس في الشريعة حكم إلا وله حكمه وإن لم يعقلها كثير من الناس“

“There’s not in the shari’ah a legislation except that there's a wisdom behind it, even if many people don't understand it"

لو رأى أحدنا كنزًا من كنوز الدُّنيا يُمكنه أخذه؛ لاستكثر منه، فهلا استكثرنا من كنز من كنوز الجنة؛ فقد قال رسول الله ﷺ لأبي موسى الأشعري رضي الله عنه: "ألا أدُلُّكَ على كنزٍ من كُنوزِ الجنةِ"؟، ثمَّ قال ﷺ: "لا حولَ ولا قوَّةَ إلَّا باللهِ"؛ فاستكثروا منها، وحركوا ألسنتكم بها

If one of us saw a treasure from the treasures of this world that they could take to accumulate wealth, why don't we accumulate from a treasure from the treasures of paradise?

For the Prophet ﷺ said to Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" Then he ﷺ said,

لا حولَ ولا قوَّةَ إلَّا باللهِ
“There is no might or power except by Allah."

So accumulate it and move your tongues with it.

Ibn 'Umar said: “If we did not see a person at fajr and ‘isha prayers, we would think badly of him.”

‎قال الإمام الشافعي رحمه الله:
‌‏
‌‏ليس سرور يعدل صُحبةَ الأخوان ولا غمّ يعدل فراقهم.

Imaam ash-Shāfi'ee: "No joy is equal to the company of brothers (believers) and no sadness is equal to departing from them."

‏عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال :

‎معلم الخير ومتعلمه
‎يستغفر لهم كل شيء حتى الحوت في البحر

Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه said: "The teacher of goodness and the learner of it, everything seeks forgiveness for them even the whale in the sea."

Ibn qudamah رحمه الله says:

“It is disliked to single out the holidays of the infidels for fasting because it involves glorifying them and imitating their people.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“The most intelligent one is he who complains about his grief to Allah (alone).”

A man asked Ibn Mas’ūd, may Allāh be pleased with him:

“Inform us about the Hellfire! How is it?”

So he said: “Had you seen it, your heart would be removed from its place!”

Imam Al-Bazzar رحمه الله said regarding Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله رحمة واسعة:

“When Ibn Taymiyyah used to ride the horse, he would go into the rows of enemies like a brave warrior. He was firm against them and would say Takbir. He would make the enemy tired because of his attacks. He would enter into the army of enemies as if there was no fear of death.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

‎“When I was in Makkah and couldn’t find a doctor, I instead read al-Faatihah over a glass of Zamzam-water several times. I thereafter drank it and noticed how I became all well.”

"Whoever fails to have the fear of Allāh and know that he is constantly being observed by Allāh, his knowledge (of the religion) has no (real) value."

Sheikh Albāni said: "My advice is that you carry on with the dawah and that you distance yourself from politics because that is better for you."

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

"It is not a matter of you loving Allah; rather, the matter is that Allah loves you.

And Allah does not love you unless you follow His beloved ‎صلى الله عليه وسلم outwardly and inwardly."

Wahayb bin al-Ward:

"Fear Allāh, don't be a person who curses Iblis in public but is his companion in private"

Junaid رحمه الله said:

حقيقة الصدق أن تصدُق في موطن
لا يُنجيك منه إلا الكذبُ .

"The reality of truthfulness is to be truthful in a position that you won't be saved except with a lie."
