Ibn Hazm said: “What indicates a person’s weak religion and fear of God, is that he seaks for an opinion that suits his desire.”

{al-Ikham v. 5, p. 64}
Ibn al-Qayyim

“The heart is opened by avoiding excessive looking, talking, listening, mixing with the people, eating, and sleeping.

These excesses cloud and restrict the heart; rather, most of the punishments in this life and the next come from them. How constricted are the hearts of the people who indulge in all of them!?.”

[One Hundred Pieces of Advice | Pg. 47]
‘Utbah ibn Ghazawān رحمه الله said:

I seek refuge in Allāh from deeming myself to be great whilst I am insignificant with Allāh!

[Sahīh Muslim: 2967]
Shaykh al-Fawzān

“Our religion is not a religion of chaos, our religion is a religion of discipline, a religion of organization and a religion of tranquility.

Public protests and demonstrations are not from the practices of the Muslims and the Muslims did not used to be familiar with such activities.”

Ibn al-Qayyim

“Sins expose blessings to eradication. Obedience to Allāh brings about blessings in all the person's affairs — the worldly affairs and the affairs of the next life — while sins destroy all blessings.”

[One Hundred Pieces of Advice | Pg. 19]
Ibn al-Qayyim

“The sinner leaves from under the protection of Allāh, the One who does not neglect those under His protection. The sinner's misdeeds remove him from this protection, so he becomes prey for the thieves and bandits.”

💎The wisdom of Ibn Abbas💎

A man came to Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه and he said: “Is there repentance for one who kills a believer?”

Ibn Abbas said: “No, there is nothing but Hellfire.”

After the man left, those sitting nearby said to him: “What is this? You have given us two different judgments, for earlier you judged that whoever killed a believer may have his repentance accepted. What is the matter today?”

Ibn Abbas said: “Indeed, I suspect he was an angry man intending to kill a believer.”

Later they followed the man and found that it was true.

The Necessity of Following the Messenger of Allah ﷺ - Sheikh Al-Albani

The salafis, by the virtue of Allah that Allah has blessed them with, they call to Ikhlas (sincerity) to Allah in His Tawheed,

and in singling out the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in following him and not others; not even other Prophets, Messengers, and those who are lesser than them from the scholars and the righteous people.

Accordingly, Perhaps you remember the hadith of Jabir bin Abdillah, may Allah be pleased with both of them, which was reported by Imam Ahmad in his musnad and by others from the Prophet ﷺ;

He ﷺ saw a paper in the hand of Umar one day which he was reading from,

He ﷺ asked: "What is this ?"
He ('Umar) said: "This is a scroll from the Taurah which a was written for me by a Jew."
He ﷺ said angrily: "Are you in a state of confusion as the Jews and the Christians were? By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, if Musa was alive he wouldn't have any way except to follow me."

Even if Musa was alive he would not have been able to follow anyone but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .
Prophet ﷺ said,

Fasting in winter is an easily earned reward

[Tirmidhi 797]
“We are (all) only a people who have put ourselves into the Fire (by our deeds).

So if Allāh wants to remove us from it He will remove us from it.”

● {az-Zuhd p. 207}
Ibn al-Qayyim

“Supplication is one of the most beneficial remedies, it is the enemy of affliction, it fends it off and treats it, obstructs its befalling and uplifts it if it descends.”

[The Disease & The Cure | Pg. 15]
“None can question Him about what He does; rather it is they who will be questioned.”

‎ {تفسير ابن كثير ٢٩:١٢}
Hātim Al-Asamm رحمه الله said:

Four things are not appreciated except by four:

The value of youth is not known except by the elders, the value of well-being is not known except by the afflicted, the value of health is not known except by the sick and the value of life is not known except by the dead.

[Tanbīh Al-Mughafillīn: 1/39]
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen (rahimahullah) said:

"It is only right that a person be optimistic, feeling happy about the good he sees [in things]; and he should not look at the life lying ahead of him in this world as dark and dismal so that he becomes weary [of life] and loses hope."

[Sharh Riyad Al-Salihin, (4/115-116)]
“When you find yourself enveloped by the darkness of the night, nestled within the comforting embrace of your Master, let the innocence of a child shape your demeanor. Just like a child who ardently beseeches their father for something, and weeps inconsolably when denied, emulate that fervent longing.”

Constantly complaining?

Abū Ishāq al-Harbi (84H) said:

"I have not complained to my mother, nor to my sister, nor to my wife, nor to my daughters, about a fever I experienced. The man is the one who takes grief upon himself, he does not bring grief upon his family.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

‎”The truth will only be shown to perceptive people who will use the light of their minds to see the consequences of the matters they face."

‎[al-Fawā’id]
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

“Charity is a type of battle, where the coward hesitates to donate, and the brave remains steadfast in donating.”
