Sufyaan Ibn Hussain رحمه الله said:

I mentioned bad about someone in the presence of Iiyaas ibn Muawiyah, so he looked at my face and said:

"Have you invaded Rome?"

I said: "No."

He said: "What about Sinnad (Around Pakistan), India and Turkey?"

I said: "No."

He said: "So Rome, Sinnad, India and Turkey are safe from you but your Muslim brother is not?!"

He said (Sufyaan): I never repeated it after that day."

📌 A simple breath

Ibn al-Dunya mentioned that the Prophet Dawud (alayhi salam) asked
Allāh:

"What is the least of your blessings?.”

Allāh revealed to him,

"O Dawud, take a breath."

Dawud did so, and Allāh
told him:

"That is the least of My Blessings on
you.”

Taqwa & Good Character

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“The Prophet ﷺ established a relationship between the fear of Allāh and good character, because fearing Allāh improves the relation between the servant and Allāh, and good character improves the relation between a person and others. Therefore, fearing Allāh makes it possible for Allāh to love him, and good manners makes it possible for people to love that person.”

[al-Fawā’id]
On the authority of Anas who said: ❝When the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ used to meet they used to shake hands and if they came from a journey they would hug.❞

The Ibn Taymiyyah said: "It is better to have many sins with correct Tawhīd, than to have a few sins with incorrect Tawhīd.

Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Everyone who disobeys Allah is ignorant, and everyone who fears Him has knowledge."

Say to one who hopes for eternity in this life: "You, may God grant you wellbeing, do not hear!

For death has stood atop a pulpit of advice And warned you of its occurrence.

Yet you paid no heed—it will not bypass you Except briefly, suddenly felling you."
Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

A prostitute had once been forgiven. She passed by a dog panting near a well. Thirst had nearly killed him, so she took off her sock, tied it to her veil, and drew up some water. Allah forgave her for that.

Ibn Mubārak رحمه الله said: "The example of the one who seeks his religion without isnād is akin to the one who goes up to the roof without a ladder."

● {Adab Al-Imiā Wal-Istimiā, Vol 6, P.1}
Imām Mālik bin Anas رحمه الله said: "Whoever introduces an innovation into Islam thinking that it is good is implying that Muḥammad ﷺ betrayed his mission, because Allāh says:

"......This day, I have perfected your religion for you..." ● {5:3}

So, whatever was not part of the religion on that day, cannot be part of the religion today."

Sheikh Salih Al-Fawzān said: "The truth seeker is happy with the advice (he receives) and being alerted about the mistake (he commits)."

Woman of Dreams

"Whoever marries a woman that wears the niqab and gloves, and does not watch TV, and aligns herself with the people of truth, and does not go to the hammam (public baths; pools, saunas), and does not complain too much, has obtained the woman of dreams."

[Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Hadi al-Wadi’ee (رحمه الله), Al-Imām al-Alma’i, pg. 248]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

‎“Knowledge opens the heart and expands it until it becomes wider than the world, while ignorance constricts the heart and restrains it.

Each time the person's knowledge widens, his heart expands. This does not occur with all knowledge; rather, this occurs with the knowledge that is the inheritance of the Messenger of Allāh. This is beneficial knowledge.

The people of knowledge have the widest chests, the broadest hearts, and the best manners.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Whoever is shy from Allāh to sin, Allāh is shy from punishing him on the day he meets him.”

He who is not moved by the Quran and death, if the mountains clashed before him, he will never be moved!
