*Are you awake for suhoor?*

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, may the praise of Allah and peace be upon him said:

*"Our Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, descends to the nearest Heaven every night when the last third of the night remains, saying: Who is there to call upon Me so that I may respond to his invocation. Who is there to ask Me so that I may grant him his request. Who is there seeking My forgiveness so that I may forgive him."*

📌 *Raising the Hands With the Additional Takbeers During the 'Eed Prayer is Preferred*

Imam Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) stated, in his book, 'Raising the Hands in Prayer' (page 295):

*"It has been established from the Companions that they would raise their hands with the takbeers of the two 'Eeds"*

It has been confirmed on the authority of Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said:

*"I said to 'Ataa: 'Does the Imam raise his hands with every additional takbeer for the Fitr prayer?' He said, 'Yes, and so do the people.' "*

Reported by Abdurrazzaq in his Musannaf (5699)

The Imam Abu Muhammad Al-Baghawi Ash-Shāfi'ee (may Allah have mercy on him) said, in his book: Sharh As-Sunnah (4/310):

*"Raising the hands with the takbeers of 'Eed is a sunnah with the majority of the people of Knowledge."*

*Praying Two Rak’āt (units) After Returning Home From 'Eīd Prayer:*

Abū Sa'eed al-Khudree said:

_*“The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ would NOT PRAY ANYTHING BEFORE the 'Eīd prayer; then, when he returned to his house,* (after prayer), *he would pray 2 units *(Rak’āt)*.”*_

The Prophet ﷺ said:

_“Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine that has been forgotten after me, then he will have the reward of it and the reward of those who act upon it without their reward being diminished.”_
