Ibn Daqīq al-'īd (رحمه الله) said:

"Whenever I speak a word or perform an act, I prepare an answer for it to be given when I stand before Allāh."

Imam Malik said:

“Do not leave your house often except for what is necessary, and do not sit in gatherings where you gain no knowledge.”

‎Shaykh ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān Ibn Nāṣir as-Saʿdī رحمه الله (d. 1376H) said:

‎“This indicates the well-known principle that: ‘A certain matter should not be abandoned for an uncertain one, nor a verified benefit for an imagined one.’”

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allāh , peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do good deeds in the time that you have and take advantage of the moments of gentle breeze from the mercy of Allāh . Verily, Allāh has moments of gentle breeze from His mercy that He sends upon whomever He wills among His servants. Ask Allāh to cover your faults and protect you from your anxieties.”

Muhammad al-Quraẓī

“Do not befriend those whose regard for you is only based on their need for you; for when their need for you ceases, so will their affection for you.”

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَجِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُواْ أَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُواْ اللّهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمْ

“If they fall in sin or wrong their souls, they remember Allaah and ask forgiveness for their sins.”
