Ibn al-Jawzi rahimahulah recorded the following statement:
[قال مالك بن دينار : إن الصّدّيقين إذا قرئ عليهم القرآن طربت قلوبهم إلى الآخرة]
Malik ibn Dinar (rahimahullah) said:
When the Qur’an is recited to the truthful ones, their hearts long for the hereafter.

Abu ad-Dardaa (radiallaahu anhu) said:

al-Muzanī reported that al-Shāfīʿī said: “To admonish your brother in private is to advise and improve him, and to admonish him publicly is disgracing and shaming him.”
