Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said,

“All celebrations which differ from the Eids prescribed in Islam are innovated festivals which were not known at the time of the righteous salaf.”

[Majmoo Fataawa al Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, 2/301]
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said:

If one dies, the angels say“ What has he put forth?

And the people say: “What has he left behind?

“Knowledge without manners is like fire without wood,

وأدب بلا علم كروح بلا جسم.
and manners without knowledge is like a spirit without a body.”

Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan (حفظه الله) said:

“Beware of getting tired of seeking Knowledge. Seek knowledge, even if your comprehension is little. For little (knowledge) coupled with righteous actions, in it is a blessing and good. Continuing in seeking knowledge no doubt is good.

Seeking knowledge is a form of worship, and is more virtuous than the supererogatory prayer."

[Sharh Al-Fatwa Al-Hamawiyyah, Tape 14]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله listed a few consequences of sinning/disobeying Allāh:

• Lack of success
• Corrupt views
• Blindness from truth
• Corruption of the heart
• Failing to remember Allāh
• Wasting of time
• Avoidance and hate by the creation
• Separation between the servant and his Lord
• Supplication not being answered
• Hardness of the heart
• Decaying of blessing in provision and age
• Prevention from attaining knowledge
• Humiliation
• Insults from the enemies
• Constriction of the chest
• Affliction with evil friendship, those who corrupt the heart and make one waste the time
• Prolonging of sadness and grief
• Miserable life
• and Disappointment

All this results from sinning and neglecting to remember Allāh, just as crops are grown by being watered and are consumed by fire.

Abu Al-Aaliyah Al-Riyahi said:

"Indeed, I am bestowed with two great blessings, and I do not know which of them is greater: that Allah guided me to Islam, and that He did not make me a Kharijite."

[Musannaf Abdur Razzaq 18667].

Shaykh Abd Ar-Razzaq Al-Badr حفظه الله said:

"It is upon everyone whom Allah has spared from the ideology of the Kharijites to be thankful for this immense blessing; especially when one sees, in both ancient and recent times, their audacity in declaring Muslims as non-believers and in shedding their blood."
"Among one of the pious men there was someone who was to divorce his wife,so when he was asked about it (reasons), he said,

‘𝗔 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲'𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵.’

After he divorced he was asked again so he said,

‘I can't talk about Non-Mahram.’

[Ihya Ulūm ad-Din 2/56 - Imām Ghazali]
How to implement Tawhid?

Implementing Tawhid is by purifying it from impurities of shirk, bid’ah and sins.

Implementing Tawhid has a high status. A man may be upon Tawhid but hasn’t implemented it and has a deficiency in that.

Implementing Tawhid is a high station; whoever implements Tawhid enters Jannah without being questioned or punished.

‎Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

‎"If the one giving charity knew that his charity falls in the hand of Allāh before the hand of the poor, the delight of the one giving would be more than the delight of the one taking."

“Rather we find that obedience to husband takes precedence over the voluntary worship, Prophet Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam said: 'There is no fasting for a woman when her husband is present except with his permission' • [Agreed upon], in it is an indication towards the importance of obeying the husband so much so that it precedes the voluntary act of worship of fasting.”

Shaykh Sulayman Al-Ruhayli (حفظه الله ) said:

“From the greatest blessings of Allah upon His servants is security / peace.
It is obligatory upon us to be grateful for this blessing by actualizing tawheed, remaining upright, adhering to rules and regulations that do not oppose the Legislation (Sharee'ah) and cooperating to uphold them.”
What is the meaning of Shukr (Gratitude)?

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Shukr is to display the effects of the blessings of Allaah upon the tongue by way of praise and acknowledgement; in the heart by way of witnessing and love; and upon the limbs by way of submission and obedience.”

[Madaarīj As-Salikeen | 2/244]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

‎“The more the people would commit new types of oppression and crimes, the more their Lord would afflict them with new types of corruptions and diseases in their food, fruits, air, waters, bodies, appearances, images, shapes, and manners…

…from deficiencies and corruptions,
which are the result of their actions, injustice and wrongdoing.”
