An-Nawawī said :

It is recommended for a person, when he sees his friend distressed or sad, to speak to him in a way that makes him laugh, or occupies him and cheers his heart.

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

“Some people say: I will leave the prayer until I have reformed myself. This is like someone who says: I will not take medicine until I get better!”

Our venerable Shaykh and father, who had great virtue over the people, His Eminence Shaykh 'Abdul-'Aziz ibn
'Abdullāh Al al-Shaykh, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has passed away.

O Allāh, forgive Shaykh 'Abdul-'Aziz, raise his rank among the rightly guided, grant good succession among his descendants, forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds, expand his grave for him and fill it with light.
