Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When it is a Friday, the angels stand at the gate of the mosque and keep on writing the names of the persons coming to the mosque in succession according to their arrivals. The example of the one who enters the mosque in the earliest hour is that of one offering a camel (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one offering a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg respectively. When the Imam comes out (for Jumua prayer) they (i.e. angels) fold their papers and listen to the Khutba.”

The last ten nights are here.

If there’s any time to pick up the pace it’s now.

For those of us who didn’t manage to do enough so far, fear not for as the scholars have said, it’s not about how you start but rather it’s about how you finish.

So don’t waste this opportunity like the years before and have that feeling of regret.

Even if it’s one pound a night, a page a day, imagine the end reward when it’s multiplied

It’ll out-weigh all that you missed.

And for those of you who managed to go strong for the first twenty days (الحمدلله ) as sheikh Ruhayli حفظه الله said it’s neither from the sunnah nor good for you to remain in the same state as you were for the first part of the month.

Rather you should increase in all your efforts.
‎Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله):

‎“What really matters are good endings, not flawed beginnings.”

Aa'isha رضي الله عنها reported that she asked:

"O' Messenger of Allāh ﷺ! What if I knew which night Laylatul-Qadr was, then what should I say in it?"

He ﷺ said:

"Say:

[O' Allāh you are the one who pardons, and loves to pardon, so pardon me].

The Recommended Levels of Standing in Prayer on Laylat al-Qadr

The recommended levels of standing in prayer on Laylat al-Qadr are four:

1. The first level: To stand in prayer for the entire night by performing prayer throughout the night.

2. The second level: To stand in prayer during both the beginning and the end of the night-praying as much as possible in the early part of the night, then doing the same in the latter part.

3. The third level: To stand in prayer only in the latter part of the night.

4. The fourth level: To stand in prayer only in the early part of the night, after the Isha prayer.

The highest of these levels is the first, followed by the second, then the third, and lastly, the fourth.

The most complete way to observe Laylat al-Qadr is for a person to devote all the last ten nights-during which Laylat al-Qadr is sought-to prayer, reciting the Quran, supplication, and performing i'tikaf in the mosque.
If one is unable to do so, then it is best to stand in prayer during both the beginning and the end of the night-praying, reciting, and supplicating as much as possible in the early part, and then making up for what he missed in the latter part.

If one cannot do that but can manage only one part of the night, then prioritizing the latter part is better than the early part. Thus, delaying prayer until the latter part of the night is more complete than restricting it to the early part.

These are the four recommended levels for observing Laylat al-Qadr, which is one of the last ten nights of Ramadan. The Prophet said: "Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan".

Reminder for *Sā’at Al Istijābah*

Jabir رضي الله عنه relates that Prophet ﷺ said:
“Friday is comprised of twelve hours. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allāh for something will have it granted to him. So Seek it in the last hour after `Asr.”

*Are you awake for suhoor?*

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, may the praise of Allah and peace be upon him said:

*"Our Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, descends to the nearest Heaven every night when the last third of the night remains, saying: Who is there to call upon Me so that I may respond to his invocation. Who is there to ask Me so that I may grant him his request. Who is there seeking My forgiveness so that I may forgive him."*
