A man once said to one of the Salaf: May Allaah preserve him.
So he replied: O my brother! Don’t ask that he be preserved. Ask instead that his eemaan be preserved!

Sheikh Muqbil ibn Haadi al Wadee رحمه الله said,
"The intelligent woman does not like for her husband to look and have his heart tempted, by gazing at young ladies (on the TV). She does not like this.
And happiness is not achieved between the woman and her husband unless she is obedient to him and far from looking at other than him.
And likewise for him himself, he should be far from looking at women other than her. This is the fitnah of the gaze."
[Sheikh Muqbil's fatwa concerning the Television. Taken from Ijabatus-Sail alaa Ahim il-Masail]

Ash Shaykh al-‘Imām Sālih al Fawzān حفظه الله said :
The Da’wah to Allāh is an affair that must be carried out, and the Deen has indeed stood upon the Da’wah and Jihaad after beneficial knowledge.
The Most High has said (interpretation of the meaning) :
“By time, all of mankind is in a state of loss, except those who believe, do righteous deeds and advise one another with the truth and with patience.”
[Suratul-‘Asr]
So what is meant by Eemaan (those who believe) is the knowledge of Allāh the Perfect the Most High, His names and attributes and His worship. And the righteous action is a branch of knowledge, because the action must be built upon knowledge, along with the call to Allāh, the ordering of good and mutual advice between the Muslims, this is what is desired.

Abu Bakr ibn Ubaid said, 'Ubaidullah ibn Muhammad told me that he heard a devout woman say, while weeping:
"By Allah, I have grown weary of life, so much so that if I found death for sale, I would buy it out of longing for Allah and love for meeting Him."
He said, "I said to her, 'Are you certain of your deeds?' She said,
'No, by Allah, but it is because of my love for Him and my good opinion of Him. Do you think He would punish me while I love Him?'"

The poet, Abī Ishāq Ibrāhīm bin Mas’ūd At Tujībī Al Gharnātī al Ilbīrī رحمـه الله said :
The days have weakened your heart, and the hours have traces on your body,
And death calls you with a true call, so oh my companion, perhaps your time is near,
I seen you desire the virgin wife [the dunya], who the intelligent ones have divorced and will never
take her back,
You are sleeping as time goes, woe to you in your snoring, Until you die, then you will awaken,
How long will you be deceived and tricked?, and when will you cease from it?

❝The individuals who ascribe themselves to [giving] Da’wah, it is mandatory that they be investigated:
• Where did they study?
• Where did they take knowledge from?
• Where were they reared?
• What are their beliefs?
• Their actions must be investigated, their effects upon the people, along with what good they have brought about.
• What rectification has their actions produced?
Their affairs must be investigated before [the people] are misled by their statements and what is apparent from them. This investigation is mandatory, especially during the present time in which the callers of Fitnah are many.❞
