Translation of the Ayahs of Quran

Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) | Ayahs 2:66–2:75 📖
6️⃣6️⃣ So We made their fate an example to present and future generations, and a lesson to the God-fearing.
6️⃣7️⃣ And ˹remember˺ when Moses said to his people, “Allah commands you to sacrifice a cow.” They replied, “Are you mocking us?” Moses responded, “I seek refuge in Allah from acting foolishly!”
6️⃣8️⃣ They said, “Call upon your Lord to clarify for us what type ˹of cow˺ it should be!” He replied, “Allah says, ‘The cow should neither be old nor young but in between. So do as you are commanded!’”
6️⃣9️⃣ They said, “Call upon your Lord to specify for us its colour.” He replied, “Allah says, ‘It should be a bright yellow cow—pleasant to see.’”
7️⃣0️⃣ Again they said, “Call upon your Lord so that He may make clear to us which cow, for all cows look the same to us. Then, Allah willing, we will be guided ˹to the right one˺.”
7️⃣1️⃣ He replied, “Allah says, ‘It should have been used neither to till the soil nor water the fields; wholesome and without blemish.’” They said, “Now you have come with the truth.” Yet they still slaughtered it hesitantly!
7️⃣2️⃣ ˹This is˺ when a man was killed and you disputed who the killer was, but Allah revealed what you concealed.
7️⃣3️⃣ So We instructed, “Strike the dead body with a piece of the cow.” This is how ˹easily˺ Allah brings the dead to life, showing you His signs so that you may understand.
7️⃣4️⃣ Even then your hearts became hardened like a rock or even harder, for some rocks gush rivers; others split, spilling water; while others are humbled in awe of Allah. And Allah is never unaware of what you do.
7️⃣5️⃣ Do you ˹believers still˺ expect them to be true to you, though a group of them would hear the word of Allah then knowingly corrupt it after understanding it?
Reflection for today:
"The lessons of the Qur’an are for those who listen, understand and act with sincere obedience." 🤲✨

💌 Today’s Inner Pilgrimage Prompt ✨
Strip the Labels
Before you ask Allah for more, pause and return to Him as you are.
Not as the strong one.
Not as the productive one.
Not as the mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend, teacher, business owner, provider, helper, healer, achiever, fixer, or the one everyone expects to hold it together.
Just you without all the labels and roles.
The soul Allah created.
The servant Allah already sees.
The heart that does not need to perform before Him.
Tonight, converse with Allah using these sentence starters:
Ya Allah, when I remove every role and label I hide behind, I realise that I am…
Ya Allah, the version of me people see is…
But the version of me You see is…
Ya Allah, I am tired of pretending that…
I am tired of being known for… while secretly feeling…
I have been trying to prove that I am…
I think I learned to perform because…
Somewhere along the way, I started believing that I had to be… in order to be loved, accepted, needed, chosen, respected, or safe.
Ya Allah, beneath all of my roles, I am afraid that…
Beneath all of my striving, I am longing for…
Beneath all of my busyness, I think I am avoiding…
Ya Allah, show me the parts of myself I have buried under responsibility.
Show me the parts of myself I have silenced to survive.
Show me the parts of myself I have dressed up for people but never brought honestly to You.
Ya Allah, I do not want to meet You as a performance.
I do not want to keep confusing exhaustion with sincerity.
I do not want to keep mistaking being needed by people for being close to You.
Return me to who I am beneath the noise.
Return me to the truth of my servanthood.
Return me to the quiet place inside me that still knows You are enough.
Speak/Write without editing.
Speak/Write without sounding spiritual.
Speak/Write without trying to make it beautiful.
Just tell Allah the truth and be sincere.
Because He already knows it.
And He is still calling you back.

📌 `Don’t waste it.`
May Allah ﷻ accept our worship, forgive our sins, and allow us to witness many more Days of Arafah with good health and heart filled with his obedience. Aameen!

🌹 A Life-Changing Lesson from the Day of Arafah
– A Must Read
A brother shared this heart-touching incident:
Exactly one year ago, a fire broke out in my supermarket due to a short circuit. More than three-quarters of my shop’s stock was burned to ashes.
This incident happened just two days before the Day of Arafah.
You can imagine my condition. Eid al-Adha was near, but my shop, my goods, my business — everything had been destroyed. There was no happiness, no joy, no excitement for Eid — only grief, worry, and the heavy burden of debt.
At that time, I had only been married for two months. The burned goods were worth almost $15,000. I began thinking: What should I do now? How will I recover this loss? Should I ask my newlywed wife to sell her gold? Or should I borrow money from someone? But from whom?
Finally, I thought it would be better to borrow from friends. But whenever I spoke to any friend, he would say, “Eid is near, forgive me — I cannot help at this time.”
Two days passed in the same state — filled with mental pressure and hopelessness. I barely managed to gather $800, which, compared to my loss, was not even a drop in the ocean.
That night, I was returning home when I met a neighbour. He said:
“Eid Mubarak, brother! Don’t forget to fast tomorrow!”
I thought to myself: Fast? In this condition? Please leave me alone…
My wife, trying to lighten my heart, suggested that we go out for a short walk. We went out, but my heart was heavy with grief. I could not enjoy anything.
When we returned home, she said:
“Come, let’s prepare suhoor. The time of Fajr is near.”
I answered bitterly:
“Suhoor? I did not even remember that tomorrow is the Day of Arafah! You and I are living in two different worlds. What suhoor? What Arafah? Can’t you see our condition?”
She said gently:
“Allah has decreed this for us. He will never leave us alone. But you must fast.”
She insisted, so we made the intention and kept the fast.
At the time of iftar, she said:
“Make dua to Allah.”
I said:
“Dua for what?”
She said:
“Ask for whatever your heart desires.”
I replied sarcastically:
“What should I ask for? That $15,000 should come down from the sky? Is that possible?”
She said:
“The One who created the sky has power over everything.”
She quietly began praying and became busy in dua. I also made dua, but only one thought kept circling in my mind — those $15,000. I wanted everything to be restored.
One hour after Maghrib, one of my friends called and said:
“Come to the coffee shop. I need to speak to you about something important.”
I went, and he said:
“One of my acquaintances has gathered some money and wants to invest it in a business. I could not think of anyone better than you.”
We called that person. He came and said:
“I have $30,000, and I want to invest it in a business.”
I said:
“My shop needs $15,000 worth of goods. Why not put half the money into stock and half into renovating the shop? The profit will be shared 50/50 until your original capital is fully returned.”
We made the agreement. I rebuilt the shop, bought the stock, and reopened after Eid. That day, my happiness knew no bounds.
Oh, I forgot to mention — one week before the fire broke out, my mother had been tested for cancer. The tests had been done, and the results were due on the Day of Arafah.
The results came — they were negative.
Alhamdulillah, she was completely healthy!
When my mother found out, she cried tears of happiness the whole day and kept thanking Allah.
The shop reopened, my mother was healthy, and then my wife called and told me that she had taken a pregnancy test.
She was pregnant!
Then she said to me:
“Now do you understand the power of fasting and making dua on the Day of Arafah?”
I said in my heart:
SubhanAllah.
A few days earlier, it felt as though my whole world had ended. And now, through one sincere dua, everything had turned around.
That day, I learned a lesson in humility before Allah that I will never forget.
Allah is always with us.
Sometimes He tests us so that we turn back to Him and repent.

Sometimes He tests us so that we turn back to Him and repent.
After Eid, the business began to run well, and soon the $30,000 was ready to be returned. I went to return the money — but then the story took another turn.
That person said:
“The truth is, this money was not mine. Someone whose wife had recovered from cancer gave this money to you for the sake of Allah. He wanted to help you while remaining anonymous.
This money is yours. No one will ask for it back.”
By Allah, I came home, locked myself in my room, and cried like a child for an hour — because I had truly felt the mercy and kindness of Allah.
Even now, when I remember this incident, tears fill my eyes. I feel deep regret that I had spent so much time distant from my Lord, while He had always been so near.
This experience taught me the true meaning of the Day of Arafah, fasting, dua, and trusting Allah.
It became the turning point of my life. I repented and became connected to the religion.
Lesson:
Sometimes Allah holds something back in order to give you something greater — and in that is His wisdom.
In these ten blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, strive hard in dua, repentance, and the remembrance of Allah.
Never underestimate the power of a sincere dua — especially on the Day of Arafah.

The Best 10 Days of the year: Dhul Hijjah
📿 Recommended Dhikr (Remembrance)
Increase your daily remembrance. The Prophet (ﷺ) instructed us to abundantly recite Tahleel, Takbeer, and Tahmeed during these days:
Tahleel: La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah) ☝️
Takbeer: Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) 🕋
Tahmeed: Alhamdulillah (All praise belongs to Allah) 🤲
The Takbeerat of Tashreeq
From the dawn of the 9th of Dhul Hijjah until the Asr prayer of the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, recite this after every obligatory prayer:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil hamd.
(Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, there is no god but Allah. And Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise.)
🏔️ The Day of Arafat (9th of Dhul Hijjah)
The Day of Arafat is the pinnacle of Hajj, but its blessings extend to those of us watching from home. It is a day of immense forgiveness and freedom from the Fire.
Why is it so important?
It is the day Islam was perfected: Allah revealed Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:3) on this day: "This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you..."
The Power of Fasting: For those not performing Hajj, fasting on this day brings an unbelievable reward.
The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafat, and he said: "It expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year."
— Sahih Muslim

"If a person were to sit by the roadside holding gold coins in a garment, distributing them to every passerby, while another person sits nearby reciting Takbeerat (Allahu Akbar), the one reciting the Takbeerat would earn a far greater reward." 🤍

Eid ul Adha is not just a celebration ,it is a reminder that true love for Allah demands sacrifice. Ibrahim (AS) raised the knife, Ismail (AS) laid down willingly, and Hajara (AS) stood firm through every hardship. Their surrender was complete, their faith unshakeable.
Today, that same spirit of sacrifice lives on in the blood of our brothers and sisters in Palestine and across the world — who are giving not just their comfort, but their homes, their families, and their lives yet their faith remains unbroken.
This Eid, may we sacrifice not just an animal, but our ego, our silence, and everything that stands between us and Allah. And may Allah grant victory, relief, and justice to every oppressed Muslim around the world.
Eid Mubarak! May Allah accept from us all. From Team Gems of Jannah 🌙
