Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 📖

4️⃣ And who believe in what has been revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ and what was revealed before you, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 🌙

5️⃣ It is they who are ˹truly˺ guided by their Lord, and it is they who will be successful. 🌟

6️⃣ As for those who persist in disbelief, it is the same whether you warn them or not—they will never believe. ⚠️

7️⃣ Allah has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered. They will suffer a tremendous punishment. 🔒

8️⃣ And there are some who say, “We believe in Allah and the Last Day,” yet they are not ˹true˺ believers. 🕊️

9️⃣ They seek to deceive Allah and the believers, yet they only deceive themselves, but they fail to perceive it. 🪞

🔟 There is sickness in their hearts, and Allah ˹only˺ lets their sickness increase. They will suffer a painful punishment for their lies. 💔

1️⃣1️⃣ When they are told, “Do not spread corruption in the land,” they reply, “We are only peace-makers!” 🌿

1️⃣2️⃣ Indeed, it is they who are the corruptors, but they fail to perceive it. ⚖️

1️⃣3️⃣ And when they are told, “Believe as others believe,” they reply, “Will we believe as the fools believe?” Indeed, it is they who are fools, but they do not know. 📜

Reflection for today:
"It is they who are ˹truly˺ guided by their Lord, and it is they who will be successful." — May we seek true guidance, sincerity, and wisdom in His words. 🤲

Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 📖

1️⃣4️⃣ When they meet the believers they say, “We believe.” But when alone with their evil associates they say, “We are definitely with you; we were only mocking.”

1️⃣5️⃣ Allah will throw their mockery back at them, leaving them to continue wandering blindly in their defiance.

1️⃣6️⃣ They are the ones who trade guidance for misguidance. But this trade is profitless, and they are not ˹rightly˺ guided.

1️⃣7️⃣ Their example is that of someone who kindles a fire, but when it lights up all around them, Allah takes away their light, leaving them in complete darkness—unable to see.

1️⃣8️⃣ They are ˹wilfully˺ deaf, dumb, and blind, so they will never return ˹to the Right Path˺.

1️⃣9️⃣ Or ˹those caught in˺ a rainstorm from the sky with darkness, thunder, and lightning. They press their fingers into their ears at the sound of every thunder-clap for fear of death. And Allah encompasses the disbelievers ˹by His might˺.

2️⃣0️⃣ It is as if the lightning were about to snatch away their sight. Whenever lightning strikes, they walk in its light, but when darkness covers them, they stand still. Had Allah willed, He could have taken away their hearing and sight. Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.

2️⃣1️⃣ O humanity! Worship your Lord, Who created you and those before you, so that you may become mindful ˹of Him˺.

2️⃣2️⃣ ˹He is the One˺ Who has made the earth a place of settlement for you and the sky a canopy; and sends down rain from the sky, causing fruits to grow as a provision for you. So do not knowingly set up equals to Allah ˹in worship˺.

2️⃣3️⃣ And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a sûrah like it and call your helpers other than Allah, if what you say is true.

2️⃣4️⃣ But if you are unable to do so—and you will never be able to do so—then fear the Fire fuelled with people and stones, which is prepared for the disbelievers.

Reflection for today:
"Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything." — May Allah guide our hearts to truth, sincerity, and steadfast faith. 🤲

Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) | Ayahs 2:25–2:44 📖
2️⃣5️⃣ Give good news ˹O Prophet˺ to those who believe and do good that they will have Gardens under which rivers flow. Whenever provided with fruit, they will say, “This is what we were given before,” for they will be served fruit that looks similar ˹but tastes different˺. They will have pure spouses, and they will be there forever.
2️⃣6️⃣ Surely Allah does not shy away from using the parable of a mosquito or what is even smaller. As for the believers, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. And as for the disbelievers, they argue, “What does Allah mean by such a parable?” Through this ˹test˺, He leaves many to stray, and guides many. And He leaves none to stray except the rebellious—
2️⃣7️⃣ those who violate Allah’s covenant after it has been affirmed, break whatever ˹ties˺ Allah has ordered to be maintained, and spread corruption in the land. It is they who are the ˹true˺ losers.
2️⃣8️⃣ How can you deny Allah? You were lifeless and He gave you life, then He will cause you to die and again bring you to life, and then to Him you will ˹all˺ be returned.
2️⃣9️⃣ He is the One Who created everything in the earth for you. Then He turned towards the heaven, forming it into seven heavens. And He has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of all things.
3️⃣0️⃣ ˹Remember˺ when your Lord said to the angels, “I am going to place a successive ˹human˺ authority on earth.” They asked ˹Allah˺, “Will You place in it someone who will spread corruption there and shed blood while we glorify Your praises and proclaim Your holiness?” Allah responded, “I know what you do not know.”
3️⃣1️⃣ He taught Adam the names of all things, then He presented them to the angels and said, “Tell Me the names of these, if what you say is true?”
3️⃣2️⃣ They replied, “Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. You are truly the All-Knowing, All-Wise.”
3️⃣3️⃣ Allah said, “O Adam! Inform them of their names.” Then when Adam did, Allah said, “Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?”
3️⃣4️⃣ And ˹remember˺ when We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam,” so they all did—but not Iblîs, who refused and acted arrogantly, becoming unfaithful.
3️⃣5️⃣ We cautioned, “O Adam! Live with your wife in Paradise and eat as freely as you please, but do not approach this tree, or else you will be wrongdoers.”
3️⃣6️⃣ But Satan deceived them—leading to their fall from the ˹blissful˺ state they were in, and We said, “Descend from the heavens ˹to the earth˺ as enemies to each other. You will find in the earth a residence and provision for your appointed stay.”
3️⃣7️⃣ Then Adam was inspired with words ˹of prayer˺ by his Lord, so He accepted his repentance. Surely He is the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful.
3️⃣8️⃣ We said, “Descend all of you! Then when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows it, there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
3️⃣9️⃣ But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.”
4️⃣0️⃣ O children of Israel! Remember My favours upon you. Fulfil your covenant and I will fulfil Mine, and stand in awe of Me ˹alone˺.
4️⃣1️⃣ Believe in My revelations which confirm your Scriptures. Do not be the first to deny them or trade them for a fleeting gain. And be mindful of Me.
4️⃣2️⃣ Do not mix truth with falsehood or hide the truth knowingly.
4️⃣3️⃣ Establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and bow down with those who bow down.
4️⃣4️⃣ Do you preach righteousness and fail to practice it yourselves, although you read the Scripture? Do you not understand?
Reflection for today:
"Whoever follows it, there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve." 🤲

Living by the names of Allah
Searching for Meaning? Discover the 4 Names of Allah That Bring Absolute Clarity
Life can often feel like a confusing maze. One day we feel completely aligned, and the next, we are overwhelmed by distractions. But did you know that the story of our existence from our very first breath to our ultimate destination is entirely about seeking and recognizing Guidance?
Here is a breakdown of 4 beautiful Names of Allah and how they help us navigate the twists and turns of life:
1. Al-Hadi (The Guide)
* The Meaning: The One who gives the ultimate gift of guidance.
* The Reality: Allah does not create anything without guiding it. Think about it: birds migrate across continents without a compass, and a newborn instinctively knows how to find its mother. In the same way, our souls naturally know the way back to Him.
* The Straight Path: Imagine a straight road lined with walls and curtained doors. The road is Islam, the walls are Allah's boundaries, and the doors are the prohibitions. Al-Hadi guides you to stay on the main road and avoid the side doors of distraction.
2. Al-Rashid (The Guide to the Right Course)
* The Meaning: The One who doesn't just guide your mind, but rewires your desires.
* The Reality: Rushd is when you don't even need a GPS anymore because the route has become second nature. When you attain this, doing the right thing feels completely natural, faith becomes incredibly sweet to your heart, and turning away from sin becomes instinctual.
3. An-Nur (The Light)
* The Meaning: The One who illuminates your path and dispels all darkness.
* The Reality: Physical light allows our eyes to see physical shapes, but spiritual light allows the heart to see true meaning. When Allah shines His light into your life, your perspective expands. Even in your darkest moments of despair or confusion, An-Nur brings clarity.
4. Al-Mubin (The Manifest / The Evident)
* The Meaning: The One who makes the truth completely clear to anyone who looks for it.
* The Reality: He has left signs in every single corner of creation. Two people can look at the exact same night sky or read the same verse; one might shrug, while the other's heart trembles in awe. Al-Mubin reveals the lessons hidden within our daily trials.
A Beautiful Dua to Save and Recite:
"Ya Hadi, guide me when my heart forgets the way. Ya Rashid, teach me to see the truth instinctively. Ya Nur, light every darkness I carry within. Ya Mubin, make Your signs clear in everything around me. Amen."

The Best Days of the Year: Dhul Hijjah

The blessed month of Dhul Hijjah is almost here! The first ten days of this month are a golden🌟 opportunity, packed with immense rewards.

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) declared them as the greatest days of the world.

Here is your ultimate guide to maximizing your rewards during this sacred time. 👇

📖 What the Qur'an Says
Allah (SWT) swears by these specific nights in the Qur'an, highlighting their immense significance:

"By the dawn; And [by] ten nights."
— Surah Al-Fajr (89:1-2)

Note: Ibn Kathir and many other scholars confirmed that these "ten nights" refer specifically to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.

💬 What the Hadith Says
The Prophet (ﷺ) emphasized that good deeds done in these ten days are more beloved to Allah than at any other time of the year.

"There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than those days." (i.e. the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah). They said: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the path of Allah?" He said: "Not even Jihad in the path of Allah, except a man who goes out desiring that with his self and his wealth, and he does not return with anything of that."
— Sunan Ibn Majah

The Best 10 Days of the year: Dhul Hijjah

📿 Recommended Dhikr (Remembrance)

Increase your daily remembrance. The Prophet (ﷺ) instructed us to abundantly recite Tahleel, Takbeer, and Tahmeed during these days:

Tahleel: La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah) ☝️

Takbeer: Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) 🕋

Tahmeed: Alhamdulillah (All praise belongs to Allah) 🤲

The Takbeerat of Tashreeq

From the dawn of the 9th of Dhul Hijjah until the Asr prayer of the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, recite this after every obligatory prayer:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil hamd.
(Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, there is no god but Allah. And Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise.)

🏔️ The Day of Arafat (9th of Dhul Hijjah)

The Day of Arafat is the pinnacle of Hajj, but its blessings extend to those of us watching from home. It is a day of immense forgiveness and freedom from the Fire.

Why is it so important?
It is the day Islam was perfected: Allah revealed Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:3) on this day: "This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you..."

The Power of Fasting: For those not performing Hajj, fasting on this day brings an unbelievable reward.
The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafat, and he said: "It expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year."
— Sahih Muslim
