В Русских домах Буркина-Фасо, Гвинеи, Нигера и Ганы состоялась онлайн-лекция, посвящённая богатой традиции российского циркового искусства. Мероприятие прошло в рамках серии «Открывая Россию», которая знакомит зарубежную аудиторию с культурным наследием, историей и современными достижениями нашей страны.
Лекцию провела пресс-атташе Большого Московского цирка Анна Буянова, поделившись уникальными материалами, профессиональными наблюдениями и личным опытом работы в одном из главных цирковых центров мира.
Участники узнали об истории цирка в мире и в России, о его роли в культурной жизни столицы и о выдающихся артистах. Особое внимание было уделено Всемирному фестивалю циркового искусства «ИДОЛ» – одному из ключевых событий мирового циркового сообщества, способствующему развитию и популяризации циркового ремесла.
Отдельный блок лекции был посвящён цирковым дивертисментам, которые проходят по всей Москве и служат важным инструментом межкультурного обмена, объединяя зрителей разных стран и культур.

🎪 The online lecture “The Magic of the Circus in Moscow: Traditions, Festivals, and International Cooperation”
The Russian Houses in Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger, and Ghana hosted an online lecture dedicated to the rich traditions of Russian circus art. The event took place as part of the educational series “Discovering Russia,” which introduces international audiences to Russia’s cultural heritage, history, and contemporary achievements.
The lecture was delivered by Anna Buyanova, Press Attaché of the Great Moscow State Circus, who shared exclusive insights, professional observations, and her firsthand experience working at one of the world’s leading circus institutions.
The participants learned about the history of the circus in Russia and around the world, as well as its significance to the capital's cultural life and about notable performers.
A special part of the lecture focused on the World Festival of Circus Art “IDOL”, one of the major global events in the circus community that contributes significantly to the development and promotion of circus arts.
The presentation also highlighted various circus-themed performances and street shows held across Moscow, which serve as an important tool for intercultural exchange, bringing together audiences from diverse backgrounds.
We warmly thank all participants for their engagement and continue to discover Russia through art, dialogue, and friendship between peoples.

Сотрудники представительства Центра народной дипломатии в Гане провели рабочую встречу с руководством Международного отдела Университета Ганы. В ходе продуктивных переговоров стороны договорились о подготовке к подписанию Меморандума о взаимопонимании, который станет основой для дальнейшего сотрудничества.
В рамках встречи университет представил развернутую презентацию деятельности, а также были детально обсуждены ключевые направления будущего партнерства: перспективы совместных научных исследований, разработка образовательных программ и организация культурного обмена, включая открытие на базе университета тематических кружков.
Договоренность знаменует собой важный этап в развитии гуманитарного сотрудничества между нашими странами и открывает новые возможности для академического и культурного взаимодействия.

Staff of the Representatives Office of the Center for Public Diplomacy in Ghana held a working meeting with the leadership of the International Programmes Office at the University of Ghana. During the productive negotiations, the parties agreed to prepare for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which will form the basis for further cooperation.
As part of the meeting, the university delivered a comprehensive presentation of its activities, and the key areas of the future partnership were discussed in detail. These include prospects for joint research, the development of educational programs, and the organization of cultural exchange initiatives, including the establishment of thematic clubs at the university.
This agreement marks a significant milestone in the development of humanitarian cooperation between our two countries and opens up new opportunities for academic and cultural interaction.

Студенческая практика в представительстве ЦНД
24 ноября представительство Центра народной дипломатии в Гане приняло на практику четырех студентов-лингвистов Воронежского государственного университета, обучающихся по направлению «Лингвистика (теория и практика межкультурной коммуникации)».
На протяжении месяца студенты будут активно участвовать в работе над важными проектами в области межкультурных коммуникаций, помогать в разработке культурных программ и поддерживать информационное сопровождение мероприятий.
По словам руководителя представительства ЦНД в Гане, Полины Квитных, это отличная возможность, ведь «студенты-
практиканты — это источник свежих идей и энергии, настоящий драйвер развития»:

Student Internship at the CPD Representative Office
On November 24, the Center for Public Diplomacy (CPD) Representative Office in Ghana welcomed four linguistics students from Voronezh State University for a practical internship program. The students are specializing in "Linguistics and Intercultural Communication."
During their one-month internship, the students will participate in important projects related to intercultural communication. They will assist in developing cultural programs and help with event promotion and information support.

Очень жду начала работы и верю, что наш вклад будет полезным!»

Сотрудники представительства Центра народной дипломатии в Гане встретились с делегацией Ярославского государственного педагогического университета имени К. Д. Ушинского (ЯГПУ), входящего в консорциум российских вузов по развитию сотрудничества со странами Африки.
Наши коллеги из ЯГПУ пригласили Представительство на церемонию награждения победителей Международного литературного конкурса для иностранных граждан Западной Африки, посвященного 130-летию со дня рождения Сергея Есенина. Для нас это большая честь — не только потому, что имя Есенина занимает важное место в русской культуре, но и потому, что такие инициативы становятся настоящими точками соприкосновения между нашими странами.
Встреча прошла в духе открытого диалога и взаимного интереса. Сотрудничество с ЯГПУ — еще один шаг к укреплению связей между Россией и Ганой, где культура становится мостом, а будущие совместные инициативы — основой долгосрочного партнерства.

Staff of the Representative Office of the Center for Public Diplomacy in Ghana met with a delegation from Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky (YSPU). YSPU is a member of the consortium of Russian universities focused on developing cooperation with African countries.
Our colleagues from Yaroslavl University invited the Representative Office to the award ceremony for the winners of the International Literary Competition for schoolchildren and students in West Africa, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin's birth. This is a great honor for us—not only because Yesenin's name holds an important place in Russian culture, but also because such initiatives become genuine points of connection between our two countries.
The meeting was held in a spirit of open dialogue and mutual interest. Cooperation with YSPU is another step towards strengthening ties between Russia and Ghana, where culture serves as a bridge, and future joint initiatives form the foundation for a long-term partnership.

Лекцию провела Анна Ильина, руководитель отдела международных коммуникаций Центра народной дипломатии. Она рассказала о ключевых особенностях географии и демографии России, помогая участникам взглянуть на страну как на удивительное пространство культурного, природного и климатического разнообразия.

Ahead of the international educational event Geographical Dictation, which will take place on 30 November at the Representative Office of the Center for Public Diplomacy in Accra — simultaneously with venues across the globe — an extended online lecture about Russia was organized for listeners from Ghana and Nigeria.
The lecture was delivered by Anna Ilina, Head of the International Communications Department of the Center for Public Diplomacy. She presented the key features of Russia’s geography and demography, helping participants view the country as a unique space of cultural, natural, and climatic diversity.
Among other things, the audience learned that:
The online session became an important stage in preparing for the Geographical Dictation and a vivid example of how education fosters friendship and mutual understanding between Russia, Ghana, and Nigeria.

Представительство Центра народной дипломатии в Гане организовало проведение международной просветительской акции «Географический диктант 2025» под эгидой Русского географического общества при поддержки посольства РФ в Республике Гана. Мероприятие прошло в Аккре с участием местных студентов и руководителей Федерации развития африканской молодежи, в общей сложности было собрано 32 участника.
Участники ознакомились с официальными видеоматериалами РГО, прослушали презентацию о географии России и выполнили задания диктанта. Все участники получили именные сертификаты и отметили интересный формат мероприятия, выразив желание участвовать в подобном больше.
Также для гостей была организована выставка «Россия — самая красивая страна 2025» от Русского географического общества, которая не осталась без внимания ганцев.
Отдельно хотим выразить благодарность сотрудникам посольства РФ в Республике Гана за плодотворное сотрудничество.
Подобное проведение Географического диктанта РГО в Гане стало ярким примером действенной народной дипломатии и значимым культурно-просветительским событием. Мероприятие, сочетавшее интерактивный формат тестирования с выставкой о природе России, выполнило все свои задачи: были не только проверены знания, но и создан мост между культурами, вызвав искренний интерес ганской молодежи. Положительный отклик участников и их желание участвовать вновь открывают перспективы для закрепления этой акции в Гане как ежегодной традиции, укрепляющей интеллектуальные и дружественные связи между нашими странами.

The Pepresentative Office of the Center for Public Diplomacy in Ghana organized the international educational campaign "Geographical Dictation 2025" under the auspices of the Russian Geographical Society with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Ghana. The event took place in Accra with the participation of local students and was attended by the national executives of the Federation for African Youth Development. In total, the event brought together 32 participants.
Participants familiarized themselves with official video materials from the Russian Geographical Society, listened to a presentation on the geography of Russia, and completed the dictation assignments. All participants received personalized certificates and noted the engaging format of the event, expressing a desire to take part in similar initiatives in the future.
Additionally, an exhibition titled "Russia – The Most Beautiful Country 2025" by the Russian Geographical Society was organized for the guests, which attracted considerable interest from the Ghanaian attendees.
We would like to extend special gratitude to the staff of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Ghana for their fruitful cooperation.
Holding the Russian Geographical Society's Geographical Dictation in Ghana in this manner served as a vivid example of effective public diplomacy and a significant cultural and educational event. The event, which combined an interactive testing format with an exhibition on Russia's nature, successfully accomplished all its objectives. It not only assessed knowledge but also acted as a bridge between cultures, sparking genuine interest among Ghanaian youth. The positive feedback from participants and their desire to participate again open prospects for establishing this campaign in Ghana as an annual tradition, strengthening the intellectual and friendly ties between our two countries.
