Amid tears and the pain of loss, the families of the martyrs head to the cemeteries on Eid al-Fitr—not to celebrate as people usually do, but to visit those who dwell in their hearts before their graves. They stand in silence filled with longing, reciting Al-Fatiha, with prayers blending with tears, recalling faces that have disappeared but whose memory remains alive.
On a day that is meant for laughter, their sorrow is renewed in their hearts, yet in the visit, they find serenity and a renewed pledge of loyalty, knowing that the martyrs remain in memory, present in every detail of Eid.
May Allah have mercy on the martyrs, soothe the hearts of their loved ones, and make their graves gardens from the gardens of Paradise.
