*Q: How to memorize difficult subjects like History or Geography?*

*Answer*
You can also try the following method to improve your ability to remember things better.

• First read the new subject books casually like a novel from end to end (relevant chapters only) and leave the info to settle in your memory for sometime

• When you are attending a coaching or a class, you may just glance through the chapter to be taught once before you attend the class

• When you are reading for the second time, focus your mind to capture the information accurately. It would be better to simultaneously ‘underline’ the important material for better focus.

• Read the ‘underlined’ material for the third time and ‘highlight’ the material which you find more important and critical

• Read the ‘highlighted’ material for the fourth time and make notes of the topic by summarizing the most important matter in bullet points.

• Keep revising these bullet points whenever you get time, particularly before going to sleep in the night or early morning.

• Discuss the topic with your friends during break time or on phone.

If you memorize things by repeated practice, the information/data is likely to stick to your memory better and you can recall the info easily with greater accuracy.

_Hope it helps_
