#BLOOM! - This week, Olivia meets one of the star vegetables in the Edible Garden, the first of our Pocket Gardens Surprise! Pocket Gardens Surprise is a series of mini displays interspersed throughout the various nooks of Flower Dome.

#SGunited💪Like people, many plants do better together! Flower Dome's new Edible Garden showcases a wide variety of fruit and vegetable crops and displays some of the principles of companion planting. Plants that grow well together or can help repel pests are planted near each other. Peppers and Swiss chard, for instance, grow well together, as does rosemary and carrots. The rosemary hedges outlining the Edible Garden help repel many beetles, flies, and moths, as does the calendula planted throughout the garden.

<🔊Turn up the volume> Nature can sound so cute! During the Circuit Breaker period, we had the sound made by our poison dart frogs for company in #FloralFantasy while doing our maintenance work.

Originating from the tropical areas of Central and South America the poison dart frogs are considered vulnerable because of deforestation.

The poison dart frog terrarium in Floral Fantasy showcases these beautiful pint-sized amphibians and highlights how human action can have adverse impact on even the smallest aspects of biodiversity.
