Finished my first watch, went in with zero spoilers and now want to discuss it all
Up until 5 months ago I knew nothing about game of thrones. I decided to give it a try and all I knew (Im not exaggerating when I say this is ALL I knew) was:
\- there was a character named Jon Snow
\- there was a character named Kalessi
\- an episode toward the end was very dark and hard to see on TV
\- people generally were not happy with how it ended.
My husband (watched it live the first time around) watched it all with me and worked meticulously to make sure I didn’t spoil anything for myself by accident. He’d pause to explain things, remind me who characters were, even googled what other roles characters played if I was curious, he refused to let me look up anything for my sake.
Now that I’m done I want to know all of the hot takes and major discussions people had when it aired. Did they come to love Jamie like I did and feel he was redeemed? Were they shocked at how >!Daenerys just lit the place up!<? Did they feel bad for >!Theon at one point when he became broken!<? Did >!Brans odd way of talking once he became the 3 eyed raven bother people?!< Did they expect >!Jon to be the true heir!?!<
Please drop any and all thoughts below as Im ready to finally discuss it with others!!

Question for book readers about season 4 onwards…
Did you think that lady Stoneheart was going to be a part of the show and at what point did you realize that they weren’t gonna include lady Stoneheart?

I personally think it’s sad that we never got a scene of Varys reacting to the news of Littlefinger‘s death. The two were the greatest rivals.

S06E05 Question about Bran and Hodor
I don't understand why Bran and the Three-eye-raven go on one last trip to the past right after deciding that they must leave because the Night King is coming after them?
Plus, I don't understand why Bran warged into future Hodor from the past when he could have do it from the present?

Do you think Jon Snow would have taken up Stannis’ offer had he not won the election for commander?

Jon is a very complex and well-written character in the books; he's a much more morally ambiguous and interesting character in the books compared to the series, where he was a good character (up to season 5), despite not being a good adaptation.

King but not yet coronated?
In traditional Westerosi royal society, is the heir considered the king (with all the titles attached) the moment the current king dies? Or not until the coronation ceremony?
The obvious example is whether Joffrey would be called King as soon as Robert died, or whether there's another title before it's made "official" by coronation?
Which brings up revealed heirs... and disputed claims. Let's say Jon revealed he was the son of Rhaegar by legitimate (if secret) marriage, everyone says "Yay, the true King!" (good luck) and he gets coronated. If nobody stops it and everybody who counts accepts the outcome, would they say he'd been king all along, or only starting from that coronation?
