Sacrilege! If Charles Dance was not available who would you cast as Tywin Lannister?

Why do you think Jaime didnt end up a soulless, power hungry ghoul like Tywin and Cersei?

My breaking point with Daenerys - first rewatch
As others have experienced and shared, there are characters you might see differently on your second time around. For me, Daenerys is one of them.
They just survived the Long Night, apocalyptic-level battle. Everyone bloodied, bruised exhausted -having a well deserved meal. She spots someone across the room, and can't help herself, "So who's the Lord of Storms End now?"
GIRL WHAT?!? WE'RE EATING DINNER, DAENERYS.
It never stops with her. Titles, succession, "bend the knee", "im your queen".
I'm exhausted, lol.

Why were there so many knights at the inn at the crossroads?
In S1 or book 1, when Catelyn takes tyrion prisoner, is there an in-universe explanation as to why would there be so many armed men at the inn in times of peace? Other than just for the plot.
