Instances where characters seemingly forget the world they live in

Doing a rewatch because I miss feeling miserable and I’m at S7E5 with Dany sentencing the Tarly’s to death by dragon. It has always bothered me that Tyrion behaves like this is such a crazy notion to him, to execute a combatant general who refuses to bend the knee.

But there are… COUNTLESS instances of characters just forgetting what world they live in and it’s infuriating to know how stupid D&D thought their audience was.

Samwell showing up at Horn Hill and then The Citadel with a full ass family in tow after having taken his Night’s Watch vows. He works all day scrubbing toilets and then just goes home to his little apartment with Gilly and Little Sam?

Yara doesn’t know what the fuck a King’s Moot is?

Also, I understand that by S6 they didn’t give a fuck and needed to Crash Bandicoot to the finish but it’s such bad storytelling the way they start knocking characters off the board and inserting others where they have no right to be.

Ramsay takes the risk of murdering his father and weakening his house on the off chance that he, what, waits 13-20 years to usurp Ramsay’s position as his heir for the newborn?

The random penny slaver who buys Tyrion and Jorah is now representing 1/3 of the slave cities of Essos?

So bad. so so so so so so bad

Has anyone noticed at 2:50 in Rains of Castamere, when robb is seeking advice from Catelyn about attacking casterly rocks, there is a creepy sound in the background “do it do it” no idea if it was intentional or just a glitch

Just finished my first rewatch since the finale aired, and my opinion on Sansa has completely flipped.

I used to find her chapters/scenes a bit slow in the early seasons, but seeing her growth from a naive kid to a strategist this time around was so much more satisfying. Has anyone else had their "favorite character" totally change upon a second watch or read?

Is there something I’m missing about Daenerys?

I’m halfway through season 2 and I’m surprised by how deplorable I find the most popular character in this show.

Every two seconds she is preaching about how she will invade Westeros and take her rightful throne with her dragons, that seems to be 90% of her dialogue. And if you don’t help me and feed my starving, violent murderous Dothraki horde I will burn your entire citadel to the ground and have your head (I’m on the Qarth part).

She is such a whiny, obnoxious self righteous baby but I’m most shocked by how blatantly cruel she is at the same time. For example, how she burned the witch at the stake with a smile on her face. Who she sAvED, she preaches, yeah sure but not before 3 of her precious horde raped her and pillaged her temple and home. Honestly? The poor woman was perfectly valid for her desire for revenge, she should have dealt with Daenerys herself too but alas there would be no plot.

Anyways, of all the characters on the show I’ve only ever seen Joffrey and Daenerys revel in cruelty and depravity when punishing others. But somehow we’re all supposed to be shocked when come season 8 Daenerys burns Kings Landing to the ground. Am I supposed to be shocked by that? Because so far it seems very on par with the course.

Question about House Baratheon and dragons

Did anyone from House Baratheon Trueborn or Bastard ever manage to claim a dragon, because Baratheon do have the blood of the dragon Orys Baratheon was the rumoured half brother of the Conqueror and on multiple occasions House Baratheon have married someone from House Targaryen or Velaryon so in theory it could be possible
