The show did many things wrong, but they nailed Theon's arc

The final season butchered so many plot arcs but it got Theon's right. I remember in S1 he's all gung ho about war and Lewin says "Is there going to be a battle in the Godswood?"

Then Theon dies there.

Just overall I thought his arc was great. Everyone from Jaime to Dany to Jon had their arcs enshittified but Theon's made sense. A bright spot at the end of a bad season.

Just my 2c

At their peak, the House Targaryen controlled around 20 dragons so can we consider them as a powerful valyrian dragonlords with this power or still mid tier?

Imo his biggest blunder was becoming a religious extremist and burning not just The Seven but also weirwoods of The Old Gods. Otherwise he could have allied with Robb's armies from The North and The Riverlands. Burning their Gods alienated potential vassals from supporting him.
