Have any of you heard about Ashara Dayne? People say she was even more beautiful than Margaery Tyrell, Daenerys Targaryen, and Lyanna Stark.

S8E3 Just watched The Long Night for the first time - WTF
What was the reaction like when the episode first aired????
I couldn’t see shit. It’s was so dark. I know Jon Snow is the king of plot armour but omg this episode. I mean every character that had a name and a bit of importance had plot armour. Excluding my boy Theon, I cried. Sorry not sorry, I like him.
The music was beautiful, but this something else, man. One of the biggest build ups, the biggest battles/conflicts of the show all wrapped in one episode. Such poor planning too. I refuse to believe a team of some of the greatest fighters and political planners came up with that.
Wish we saw Sansa stab one to two looool… Regardless of how I feel about the episode, I love Arya and I like that she was the hero in the end.

First time watcher
I know, I shouldn’t be anywhere near this sub as a first time watcher - I’m not joining yet and I’m not looking through the posts.
I’m a first time watcher, had no interest for years until my husband finally convinced me. I’m on season 2 right now.
How the HELL can you guys stand Joffrey - I hate him with my whole heart, I want him dead in the slowest and most painful way. I hate Jaime, I hate every Lannister except Tyrion.
Honorable mentions:
\- Arya is the best and I love that she’s so close with Tywin right now
\- Ugh I love Jon Snow and hate how Cat treats him but also I love Cat??
\- Boramir always has to die I hate it
\- Sansa sucks but I know she’s a child but like come on
\- Theon can suck a fat one I hate him I did not expect him to be such an easy target of manipulation and daddy issues
\- I really like Mother of Dragons, I hope she gets them back!! Creepy ass bald blue lip man
That is all - binged almost 2 entire seasons in 1.5 days

One of the most underrated characters in the story
Qhorin Halfhand. Love this quote from him.
Jon Snow: "I'd gladly give my life..."
Qhorin Halfhand: "I don't want you to be glad about it. I want to curse and fight until your heart's done pumping. Know this, boy: your death will be a gift for them South of the Wall. They'll never knew what you've done, they'll never know how you died, they won't even know your damn name, but they'll be alive because some nameless bastard North of the Wall laid his life for theirs. Now, do you understand me?"
And later, Jon is commended by Tormund for how he fights and never gives up. Lesson stuck. Qhorin also literally gave his life so Jon would have a chance to infiltrate the wildlings and gather intelligence. Don't know what he did wrong in his life to end up on the wall, but his dedication can't be questioned.
