☀️ Parker Solar Probe Races Past the Sun
NASA’s Parker Solar Probe completed its 29th close approach to the Sun, reaching 692,000 km/h and coming within just 6.1 million km of the surface. It collected data from inside the solar corona and observed activity near the Sun’s north pole.

🌌 Webb Finds Mysterious Worlds Between Planets and Stars
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope explored IC 348, a star-forming region about 1,000 light-years away, and found brown dwarfs with masses as low as twice that of Jupiter.
One of these objects even has a disk around it that could potentially form planets, challenging our understanding of how such tiny objects form.

🚨 Curiosity Celebrates 5,000 Days on Mars
NASA has released one of Curiosity’s latest views of Mars as the rover celebrates its 5,000th Martian day. This striking “postcard” combines panoramas captured in the morning and afternoon, with blue representing morning and yellow representing afternoon.
Curiosity has been exploring Gale Crater since 2012 — and its journey continues.

🔭 Hubble Completes 200,000 Orbits Around Earth
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has completed its 200,000th orbit around Earth after more than 36 years in space. Hubble has traveled over 5 billion miles and made more than 1.7 million observations.
It is now monitoring the gravitationally lensed Supernova Athena, whose reappearance could help astronomers better measure the expansion rate of the universe.

🌕 A Massive New Scar on the Moon
NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day reveals a newly formed lunar crater named McGetchin, created when a 10–20-meter asteroid or comet struck the Moon in 2024.
NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter captured the surface before and after the impact, revealing a crater roughly two soccer fields wide.

🌸 The Desert Comes Alive — Seen From Space
NASA’s Earth Observatory Image of the Day (September 23, 2026) reveals a remarkable transformation in Western Australia. After unusually heavy winter rains, wildflowers spread across the dry landscape in what local experts say could be its most spectacular bloom in nearly 20 years.
NASA’s Landsat 8 satellite captured the dramatic difference between 2025 and 2026.
