🟢Traders are now focused on U.S. CPI, where a renewed pickup in inflation, combined with a still-solid jobs market, could keep the Federal Reserve cautious and even revive talk of another rate hike later this year.

➡️Without clear signs of stagflation emerging in the U.S., a significant, sustained drop in the dollar looks unlikely.

🛢 Oil Faces Risk Of A Second Shock

⏺Morgan Stanley says the oil market has entered a “race against time,” with strong U.S. exports and weaker Chinese imports so far stopping the Hormuz shock from sending prices back to 2022 highs. If the disruption lasts into June or beyond, this buffer could weaken and leave the market more exposed.

⏺Its base case is still a June reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, but if the standoff drags on, Brent could rise above current levels and even test the $130–$150 range.
