Please avoid Trading after a high impact News that spiked the price, lIke today's #CPI. For new Traders it is best not to Trade the next day before #LON (London Open).
1. Be cautious of extended price range after the spike that may blur our pips estimate

This is the psychological reason why most people lose money when investing.
Daily, the markets are up 55% of the time and down 45% of the time. The win/loss probability skew towards a win as the period lengthens.
But losses hit us twice as hard as wins.
While 45% and 55% look quite a close mathematical split, the perceptual split is very different.
The 45% daily would feel like 90% if you check it more often.
So most people will feel that 90% of the time they are losing money.
Solution: if you check the price less, you will feel better. Checking the price daily for an untrained mind only results bad behavior.

SEKTOR KONSUMSI CERAH, INI REKOMENDASI SAHAM ICBP DAN UNVR
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Sektor barang konsumer masih memiliki prospek cerah. Tahun depan, emiten consumer akan tetap mencatatkan kinerja yang solid, salah satunya didorong oleh Pemilu 2024.
"Selain itu, kita masih memantau sejumlah harga bahan baku, seperti gandum yang sudah turun," kata Pebe kepada Kontan.co.id, Jumat (2/12).
Dari beberapa emiten consumer yang ada di dalam cakupan analisis Samuel Sekuritas, Pebe menilai PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) dan PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) akan mendapat keuntungan besar dari penurunan harga komoditas.
Pebe mengatakan, penurunan harga komoditas seperti harga gandum dan minyak sawit mentah akan berdampak positif terhadap emiten barang konsumsi pokok.
Dari beberapa emiten consumer yang ada di dalam cakupan analisis Samuel Sekuritas, Pebe menilai PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) dan PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) akan mendapat keuntungan besar dari penurunan harga komoditas.
Hal ini mengingat 40%-45% cost of goods sold (CoGS) segmen utama ICBP, yakni mi instan, berasal dari gandum dan minyak goreng. Sementara sekitar 15% CoGS UNVR berasal dari minyak (minyak mentah dan minyak goreng).
UNVR mencatatkan pendapatan sebesar Rp 31,5 triliun atau tumbuh 5,0% year-on-year (YoY) dengan laba bersih sebesar Rp 4,6 triliun atau naik 5,3% YoY per kuartal ketiga 2022.
Sementara, ICBP membukukan penurunan laba bersih 33,46% secara tahunan (YoY) menjadi Rp 3,3 triliun dan penjualan naik menjadi Rp 48,9 triliun atau tumbuh 14,73% YoY.
Pebe mempertahankan rating overweight untuk sektor consumer staples dan merekomendasikan beli untuk saham ICBP dengan target harga Rp 12.000 per saham. Dia menurunkan rekomendasi saham UNVR menjadi hold dari sebelumnya buy dengan target harga di Rp 5.200 per saham.
Di antara semua emiten tersebut, Pebe memilih menjadikan ICBP sebagai top picks karena memiliki pricing power yang kuat terutama di segmen utamanya mi instan dengan pangsa pasar lebih dari 70% penjualan nasional.
