Key Accountabilities
· Ensuring the health and vitality of the geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) skillset within the Commercial Vehicle engineering or Automotive and supporting Assembly, Casting, Sheetmetal, Forging and Machining components.
· Completing accurate Dimensional Management Reviews with cross functional teams
· Delivering product stack-ups which correctly capture design requirements and help to achieve good product quality.
· Ensuring cost, manufacture, inspection, and maintenance concerns are addressed within the dimensions and tolerances of Engineering definitions.
· Basic Knowledge of Catia V5.
Qualification:
· Lead- BE Mech/B-Tech degree with 8 to 12 years of experience in design, product modelling and drafting and Tolerance Stack-up.
· Jr. Positions- BE Mech/DME/B-Tech with 3-8 years of experience in design, product modelling and drafting and/or CAD OR;
· Experience using Catia
· Experience with the application of GD&T
· Experience in Tolerance Stack up.
Preferred:
· Certified ASME Y14.5.2-2000
· Significant manufacturing and inspection experience, ideally in Automotive/CV
· Strong knowledge of drawing and detailing practices and standards
· Experience and knowledge of Trucks and Buses
