Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Internal Auditor with experience in the healthcare or hospital environment to strengthen our internal control systems and ensure compliance with hospital policies, statutory requirements, and operational procedures. The role involves auditing financial, and operational processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct internal audits across hospital functions including billing, revenue cycle, pharmacy, stores, procurement, HR, and operations
Review and evaluate internal controls, SOPs, and compliance with hospital policies
Verify patient billing, insurance/TPA claims, cash collections, discounts, and revenue leakage
Audit inventory management (pharmacy, consumables, implants, OT items)
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to healthcare
Identify process gaps, risks, and control weaknesses; recommend corrective actions
Prepare audit reports, observations, and follow-up on implementation of recommendations
Coordinate with department heads to resolve audit issues
Support external auditors during statutory and internal audits
Maintain audit documentation and working papers
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA-Inter / ICWA-Inter (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Internal Audit
Prior experience in hospital / healthcare / service industry is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of hospital processes and revenue cycle
Knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, and compliance
Good analytical, reporting, and documentation skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/HIS systems
Attention to detail with strong ethical standards
Good communication and coordination skills

Problem-solving mindset
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
