Spent the day training with the team.

If you have a team, you should be meeting with them in person at least once a month to train together. Some sort of physical endurance combined with tactical training.

If you don’t have a group yet, your highest priority is networking.

This weekend I found a potential local group member on telegram in a prepping channel. Still new, but exploring.

Hired a guy to clear some land this week. He’s into homesteading and preparing. Potential member.

In my experience, I have about a 1% prepping group conversion rate. That means for every 100 preppers I meet, 1 will be a fit for my group.

At that rate I’ll never have a group by sitting at home and doing nothing. I’ve got to go out and meet people. Attend events. Interact in forums. Meet neighbors. Strike up conversations in stores. Buy and sell items through marketplaces. Hire laborers and tradesman. Attend conferences.

Finding people to group with isn’t easy, but it’s also not that hard. You’ve got to put the work in and make it happen.

Also another great place to meet like minded is your place of worship or if you attend Bible groups etc. Most of the teams in my group attend either the church I attend or a local church few miles down the road. Of course I live in the rural south so being in a patriotic Christian community has really helped and is the only reason we are able to have the teams we have spread across the AO we have. Another aspect of this is also the families, we all know each other's spouses kids etc. That is a big plus because unlike most groups you aren't meeting one and then have to acclimate the rest of their family into your group. We all feel like family to begin with.
You are correct though, unless you plan on taking on what is coming down the pipe all alone or with your family ,you have to get off your lazy boy and get out into community, you need to network. Most importantly you need to communicate! Strike up conversations with folks, especially if you think they may be of like mind. Not hard to tell in public anymore how someone thinks by clothes or products their wear or have, stores or places they shop ie gun stores, outdoor stores, gun range. Heck , folks even advertise on their vehicles their beliefs and stances with stickers. So get out and meet them

My take on the bird flu and other animal culling is to limit the supply. As supplies become limited the prices go up and less people can afford to eat the real meat. It will push more people to cheaper alternative synthetic products.

It’s time to be self sufficient.

Just like conservatives need to produce more children. We need to produce more animals and food to help feed one another. This creating an parallel supply line and an outcast society that’s not entangled by the poisons and social controls.

Good review — my thoughts follow on the topic

I’m testing out the lightweight 16”Ruger 308 AR this year. Gonna be interesting to see the caliber support this platform gets.

Also — passing the muster on urban combat is the TUI - tumble upon impact - monolithic copper and brass projectiles from Fort Scott Munitions. Their site has videos of lower caliber pistol cartridges dropping Canadian black bear and the rifle and pistol cartridges solve the windshield dilemma discussed here for years.

The other debate on caliber is solved as well — increased lethality plus barrier blind — so I’ll be checking on reloads with the projectiles for hunting purposes as well

When I read the comments I saw there were mostly on two ends of the seed oil-avoidance spectrum.

One: “there’s no way I can do this, these oils are in everything.” That’s one on the avoidance spectrum.

And…

Two “I eliminated seed oils years ago, and now it’s just automatic to avoid them. I feel so much more energetic and healthy, I will never go back.” That’s a ten.
