Trading NFP with two stop orders? Check how far they fill.

Kenji asked for two stop orders around NFP, one cancelling the other. On 20 releases, real ticks in the MT5 tester, the stops filled a median 171 points past their level, the worst 1,935. A stop limit 20 points behind the trigger never did, but filled on 11 of 20.

We ran Free EA 03 through FTMO's 2-Step rules from every weekday start in 12 months of real ticks in the MT5 tester: 261 starts. At 0.5% risk, none reached the target. At 1.5%, 212 passed both phases and none broke a limit. At 2%, 21 broke the max loss. The catch: a median 125 weekdays to pass. A backtest, not a prop firm approval.

Break-even in your EA? Count the winners it turns into zero.

Sofia asked for a break-even in a gold EA she didn't write. We added it behind a switch: off, the same 127 trades, every column. At 0.5R, in the MT5 tester, 39 winners closed at break-even and it saved 25 losers. Winrate rose, net fell from +45.9% to +15.1% of the deposit.

Marco wanted EURUSD, GBPUSD and gold in one EA, each engine risking 1%. In the MT5 tester all three were against USD at once 61 times. So the EA got one shared budget, max 2 per side of USD: 105 entries refused, each one logged.
