I'm sorry, but I think you're mistaken if you believe this is a sad thing. (it's just my opinion)
I think that if you succeed in all the challenges you face, it may seem easier, but it could be creating a false sense of security.
After losing every time, you learn what to avoid, what experiences to take away, and how to cope with losing.
or maybe this is all just a sense of delusion we create in our mind, to form a defence mechanism from getting crushed from results.
