๐งNarrated Anas: The Prophet ๏ทบ stayed for three days between Khaibar and Medina, and there he consummated his marriage to Safiyya bint Huyai. I invited the Muslims to the wedding banquet in which neither meat nor bread was offered. He ordered for leather dining-sheets to be spread, and dates, dried yoghurt and butter were laid on it, and that was the Prophetโs ๏ทบ wedding banquet. The Muslims wondered, โIs she (Saffiyya) considered as his wife or his slave girl?โ Then they said, โIf he orders her to veil herself, she will be one of the mothers of the Believers; but if he does not order her to veil herself, she will be a slave girl. So when the Prophet ๏ทบ proceeded from there, he spared her a space behind him (on his she-camel) and put a screening veil between her and the people. And the reason for that will not be any religious motive, rather it will be because of calamity." (Sahih)

And none should ask for the hand of a girl who is already engaged to his (Muslim) brother, but one should wait till the first suitor marries her or leaves her.โ Narrated Abu Huraira: (Sahih Bukhari, Book #62, Hadith #74)

You shall have your capital sums, deal not unjustly and you shall not be dealt with unjustly. Lo, all claims for blood-vengeance belonging to the pre-Islamic period have been abolished. The first of those murdered among us whose blood-vengeance I remit is al-Harith ibn AbdulMuttalib, who suckled among Banu Layth and killed by Hudhayl.โ He then said: O Allah, have I conveyed the message? They said: Yes, saying it three times. He then said: O Allah, be witness, saying it three times. [ Sunan Abu Dawud , Chp 022 Commercial Transactions (Kitab Al-Buyu) , Hd No.3328]
