With the approval of FIP.12, the Flare Data Connector (FDC) is now live on Flare mainnet β˜€οΈ

The FDC is ready to support the attestation types required for the FAssets mainnet launch!

The new reward structure is now in effect, with inflation rewards distributed as follows:

β–ͺ️ 30% to FLR staking
β–ͺ️ 35% to FTSO
β†’ 70% of this (24.5% of total inflation) for anchor feeds
β†’ 30% (10.5% of total inflation) for block-latency feeds
β–ͺ️ 35% to FDC

βœ… User fees will be distributed based on provider participation and active weight.

‼️The first reward distribution under this structure will take place on Songbird on February 20, followed by Flare on March 6, and will continue thereafter.

DWorm is a real-time visualization tool for the Flare Network's FTSO (Flare Time Series Oracle) by ftso.eu team. It shows a curated subset of FTSO block-latency feeds and predicts the next value using a regression model. You can select different feeds and track prediction accuracy over time. A prediction is considered accurate when the absolute difference between the actual and predicted price is less than or equal to the greater of 0.01% of the price or $0.00001. The number of prices shown adapts to your screen size: fewer on phones, more on tablets and desktops for the best experience.

Ready for a new stake with about 100% uptime and 12% fees, till December 21st πŸ’ͺ
Flare has resumed block production following a brief outage.

Validators representing over 85% of stake have successfully updated, and the network is now stable and consistently producing blocks. The FTSO system has resumed price updates and has already self-corrected, thanks to its robustness and the swift response of FTSO providers.

We kindly ask that remaining validators update promptly via this link to help ensure full network stability.

A detailed explanation of the changes will be shared shortly. Importantly, the outage did not affect ledger integrity. All user assets remain secure and fully under user control.

Thank you for your continued support.

Upcoming network upgrades: What’s coming & why It matters

Flare Networks is preparing for two upcoming hard forks that will introduce major improvements to performance, efficiency, and scalability across the ecosystem. These upgrades activate key components of the Cancun/Dencun fork, bringing new EVM features that make smart contracts faster and more cost-efficient.

What these upgrades enable
- More efficient and scalable dApps
- Lower execution costs for advanced applications
- Lays the foundation for new high-performance protocols (including upcoming modular lending innovations - details to be shared later)

Scheduled activation times
- Songbird: November 25, 2025 – 12:00 UTC
- Flare: December 2, 2025 – 12:00 UTC

Key technical improvements

MCOPY opcode
A major improvement to memory operations. Instead of copying data byte-by-byte, MCOPY enables fast, chunk-based transfers β€” essentially turbocharged memcpy for smart contracts.

TSTORE / TLOAD (Transient Storage)
Provides cheaper temporary storage, ideal for batching, simulations, and other high-throughput contract operations.

These upgrades enhance the C-chain EVM environment and prepare the network for the next generation of applications on Flare.

P-chain & Staking Updates
With this fork, the P-chain introduces dynamic staking fees, where transaction costs are determined by gas consumption and the current gas price. Supporting libraries, including flarejs, have also been upgraded.

Developers should review the latest release notes now and ensure they are using the correct flarejs transaction builders when creating transactions before and after the fork.

Action Required: All node operators must upgrade to go-flare v1.12.0 before the scheduled activation dates. Please review the full technical details here: https://forum.flare.network/t/announcement-board/425/30
