💬 Vladimir Putin: The talks we have just finished highlighted the great significance that Moscow and Beijing attach to the development and strengthening of comprehensive Russia-China partnership and strategic interaction. This partnership can certainly set an example of ties between neighbouring states.

Key talking points:

• This state visit takes place in the year of the 75th Anniversary of our diplomatic relations. Our country was the first to recognise the People’s Republic of China on October 2, 1949, the day after its declaration.

• I want to note the significance of the Joint Statement we have adopted, which sets new objectives and long-term directives for advancing the entire spectrum of Russian-Chinese relations.

📈 In 2023, bilateral trade surged by a quarter, reaching a new milestone of $240 billion, as reported by Chinese statistics. Вчера был на премьере фильма одноименного с моим каналом – Тызыта (воспоминание). Очень крутая картина! Пока он на фестивалях, и посмотреть можно только трейлер.

Фильм снял Арамазд Калайджян, который приехал в Эфиопию туристом, но через армянское сообщество увлекся историей эфиопской культуры. Тема фильма (вклад армян в культуру эфиопии), казалось бы, предполагает что-то дистиллированное, но у Арамазда получилось рассказать куда более интересную историю: зритель почти забывает, что кино про армян, и наслаждается сложными переплетениями жизней, видами Аддис-Абебы (частично утраченными) и, конечно, саундтреком.

Отдельная радость видеть кадры с Алемаеху Эшете, Амха Эшете, Франсисом Фальсето, Аеле Мамо и другими людьми, многие из которых уже ушли в лучший мир.

Кстати, оказывается, я здесь уже выкладывал одну работу Калайджяна – клип Вахе (семья которого живет в Эфиопии больше ста лет) с песней Тызыта на амхарском и английском языках.

Церемония подписания состоялась в Доме народных собраний в Пекине в рамках государственного визита президента Российской Федерации Владимира Путина в Китайскую Народную Республику – первой зарубежной поездки президента с момента официального вступления в должность.
Экспертный форум будет проводиться на полях Петербургского международного экономического форума – одного из самых масштабных и значимых деловых событий в России.
В ходе мероприятия ведущие экономисты, политологи и специалисты по международным отношениям из 10 стран – Бразилии, России, Индии, Китая, Южной Африки, Египта, Ирана, ОАЭ, Саудовской Аравии и Эфиопии – обсудят пути решения вопросов, стоящих перед БРИКС, и обменяются мнениями о роли БРИКС в современной системе международных отношений.

Фестиваль экстремальных видов спорта Grand Skate Tour среди профессиональных спортсменов стран БРИКС по скейтбордингу, самокатному и роллер-спорту пройдет в Нижнем Новгороде с 5 по 10 июня, сообщает пресс-служба соревнований.
В начале июня в Нижнем Новгороде состоится совещание министров иностранных дел стран БРИКС.

Сообщается, что проект соберет участников из более чем 20 стран, входящих в объединение БРИКС или пожелавших присоединиться к нему: Азербайджана, Аргентины, Бахрейна, Белоруссии, Бразилии, Зимбабве, Египта, Индии, Ирана, Казахстана, Китая, Колумбии, Кубы, Ливана, ОАЭ, России, Саудовской Аравии, Сенегала, Таиланда, Турции, Уганды, ЮАР и Эфиопии.

"Для нашего проекта главным является не победа одного из участников, а объединение поклонников маленьких колес со всего мира. Поэтому можно сказать, что Grand Skate Tour ближе к олимпийским ценностям, нежели сама Олимпиада", - сказал президент Федерации скейтбординга России Илья Вдовин.

Глава МИД Эфиопии оценил значение вступления страны в ВТО | TV BRICS, 16.05.24

Вступление во Всемирную торговую организацию (ВТО) является ключевым аспектом программы экономических реформ Эфиопии, заявил министр иностранных дел страны Месгану Арга. Он провел встречу с директором отдела по вступлению в ВТО Майкой Осикавой.

Они обсудили реформы в торговой и финансовой сфере, которые страна предприняла для ускорения вступления в организацию. Месгану отметил, что Эфиопия сможет принести немало пользы всем членам международной структуры.

Майка Осикава, со своей стороны, добавила, что секретариат ВТО оказывает необходимую помощь для ускорения обработки заявки Эфиопии и пообещала продолжить консультации по этому вопросу. Об этом сообщает ENA.

Ранее стало известно, что африканское государство получило 617 млн долларов США (57,32 млрд рублей) от экспорта своей продукции за восемь месяцев текущего финансового года.
