In 2024, two educational sessions of the international project - INNOPRAKTIKA SCHOOL - will be held in St. Petersburg.
ART SESSION 2024
Project participants will attend lectures, intensive courses and master classes provided by the professors of St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts. Students also will have a cultural program to spend their leisure time visiting world famous museums, theatres and galleries in Saint Petersburg.
CHOREO GRAPHY SESSION 2024
For the forth time, the Boris Eifman Dance Academy will host the Choreography Session of Innopraktika School. Its goal and mission is cultural exchange.
For three weeks of fruitful work Russian choreographers will create unique productions with foreign dancers, while foreign choreographers will work with students of the Dance Academy.
All expenses for the participants' stay in Russia are borne by the host party.

🇷🇺 Saint George Ribbon сampaign kicks off in Russia ahead of Victory Day
On Wednesday, the Saint George ribbon campaign begins in Moscow, continuing a tradition that started in 2005. It serves as a reminder of the country's military achievements and connects different generations with a shared symbol of honor.
The Saint George ribbon is especially significant as the Day of Victory in Europe on May 9th approaches. This day celebrates the end of the USSR's Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The ribbon shows respect for war veterans and acknowledges the USSR’s role in defeating Nazism and freeing Europe in WWII.
🎖The ribbon, established as part of Russia's Imperial Order of St. George in the 18th century, has been given to over a million Soviet soldiers since 1943 to recognize their bravery as part of the Soviet Order of Glory.
By wearing it, citizens honor those who showed heroism during wartime.

Ethiopia, Russia pledge collaborative approach to regional issues
The Minister of State for Economic and Political Diplomacy at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, held discussions on a range of issues with Mr. Mikhail Bogdanov, the Special Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa & Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During their discussions, the two dignitaries addressed matters of mutual interest related to the Horn of Africa and the Middle East regions.
They also agreed to collaborate and coordinate their efforts bilaterally and within the BRICS framework to enhance cooperation, as well as to consolidate peace and stability, particularly in the Horn of Africa region.

In accordance with the agreements between the leaders of anti-Hitler coalition Soviet and American troops were to meet on the Elbe river.
💬From the Soviet Info bureau: «The soldiers of the 1st Ukrainian Front and the Anglo-American troops, allied with the Soviets, split up the front of the German troops, striking from the east and the west, and on 25 April at 13:30, linked-up in the centre of Germany near Torgau».
The history of World War II accurately records the place, date and even time of the link-up between Soviet and American troops. However, there were numerous link-ups, each of them important in its own way. But they all were imbued with a spirit of soldierly brotherhood and hope for a lasting and happy peace.

🏆одержали победу в ХАКАТОНе с международным участием на тему «Россия и Африка: новые технологии противодействия неоколониализму».
📚🖊️Команда под научным руководством профессора кафедры ТИМО, д.и.н. Кассае Ныгусие В. Микаэля исследовала Африканский Рог.
🔎В ходе исследования были проанализированы:
1️⃣ этапы дипломатических отношений Российской Империи, СССР и Российской федерации со странами Африканского Рога;
2️⃣ конкурентные предложения и присутствие других стран в Африканском Роге;
3️⃣ опыт Российской Империи, СССР, России передачи технологий старанам Африканского Рога;
🏆В результате исследования командой были выдвинуты 9 технологий противодействия неоколониализму на примере Африканского Рога в области:

On April 29 H.E. Ambassador Evgeny Terekhin was kindly received by H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security. A wide range of matters of cooperation between Russia and AUC were discussed in a constructive way. The Ambassador and Commissioner discussed ways of enhancing multifaceted Russian-African interaction in different spheres.The two parties exchanged views on the upcoming international events, as well as on the current regional situation.

📅 On April 30, 1945, Soviet soldiers Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev & Grigory Bulatov raised the first Red Banner on the facade of the Reichstag.
The distance between the former Himmler's house and the Reichstag was less than 500 metres. Bulatov & Koshkarbayev struggled for 7 hours, crossing this distance under heavy fire, with a makeshift flag - a flagpole with a simple scarlet cloth.
According to the 150th Division's combat log, at 14:25 Bulatov & Koshkarbayev "crawled to the central part of the building and placed a red flag on the steps of the main entrance". It was the first of the banners the liberators raised over the Reichstag.

Monuments to Koshkarbayev have been erected in his home region of Akmola in Kazakhstan and in the republic's capital, Astana, and to Bulatov in Kirov.

🇺🇸🌍 US forces expulsion may lead toward renewed Russian influence across Africa
Eroding US influence across Africa, highlighted by the demands of Niger and Chad that the US troops vacate major military bases, is giving Russia more influence on the continent than it has enjoyed in at least 35 years, US analysts told Sputnik.
The government of Chad felt confident in demanding the evacuation of US forces precisely because their relations with Russia were so markedly improving already, California State University Emeritus Professor of Political Science Beau Grosscup said.
These developments constitute a major boost to Russia's standing across Africa and give Moscow more influence on the continent that it has not had since the fall of the Soviet Union, Grosscup said.
