The tragic shooting was followed by a devastating fire at Russia's Crocus City Hall concert venue near Moscow. According to the latest data from the Russia's Investigative Committee, the death toll increased to 133 people. The Ministry of Health reported that at least 140 people were injured.

💔 Nearly a week has passed since the dreadful terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, but this tragedy rings fresh and continues to echo in the hearts of people from around the world.

The inflow of condolences coming from the leadership of the host countries, political parties, representatives of the diplomatic corps and public organisations continues unabated. Orthodox churches around the world are holding memorial services for the dead and prayers for the health of the injured. Russian compatriots as well as foreign citizens are carrying flowers and candles to makeshift memorials outside Russian diplomatic missions.

In Ethiopia, a software glitch caused customers of a major bank to pocket money that didn't belong to them. CNBC reports this.

Recently, clients of the state-owned Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), who managed to notice a software glitch, withdrew or transferred more than $40 million to other banks. A system error allowed them to withdraw an unlimited amount of funds from their account, but within a few hours the banking transactions were frozen.

Bank President Abi Sano later said at a press conference that students took advantage of the outage and withdrew a significant portion of the stolen cash. Long queues were seen at ATMs on university campuses that day. Several universities responded to Sano's statement, who promised that anyone who returned the money would not face criminal prosecution, and called on students to relinquish the embezzled funds.

CBE confirmed on social media that there was a service outage but denied it was due to a cyber attack. The country's central bank also commented on the incident and said in a statement that the failure was caused by a system security check and "is not an incident that threatens the bank, its clients and the entire financial system."
