"Earlier this month, the US Government had information about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow – potentially targeting large gatherings, to include concerts – which prompted the State Department to issue a public advisory to Americans in Russia,” Sputnik reported citing the official on Telegram.

“The US Government also shared this information with Russian authorities in accordance with its longstanding ‘duty to warn’ policy," the spokesperson said on Friday.

The tragic shooting was followed by a devastating fire at Russia's Crocus City Hall concert venue near Moscow. According to the latest data from the Russia's Investigative Committee, the death toll increased to 133 people. The Ministry of Health reported that at least 140 people were injured.

💔 Nearly a week has passed since the dreadful terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, but this tragedy rings fresh and continues to echo in the hearts of people from around the world.

The inflow of condolences coming from the leadership of the host countries, political parties, representatives of the diplomatic corps and public organisations continues unabated.
