Мероприятие проводилось 21 февраля в конференц-зале Экономической комиссии ООН для Африки при партнерской поддержке ЮНЕСКО и посольства Бангладеш.

The event was held on February 21 in the conference hall of the UN Economic Commission for Africa in collaboration with the Embassy of Bangladesh and UNESCO.

Ethiopia’s ‘Banna’ tribesmen are skilled stilt walkers, carrying on an ancient and unique tradition within their community. With a rich history that intrigues the world, the Banna people number more than 47,000 and engage primarily in hunting, pastoralism, and low-scale farming.
They are though globally renowned for their prowess at stilt walking. Of course, the obvious question is, ‘Why?’ The history behind their expertise with stilts is revealed in our video.

🌍🇷🇺🌾 Which African countries received 200,000 tonnes of Russia’s free grain?
At the second Russia-Africa Summit in July 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged that his country would provide free humanitarian grain aid to six African countries identified by the World Food Program as being in need due to conflict, climate change, and other factors.
Russia has kept its promise and completed delivery of 200,000 tonnes of grain free of charge to Africa, according to Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev.

“I would like to note that small countries would not be able to host such an event, but Ethiopia, for example, has the necessary infrastructure,” South African Ambassador to Russia Mzuvukile Jeff Maqetuka told Russian media.
Furthermore, during the interview, the diplomat also touched upon further expansion of BRICS, recalling that China, during its chairmanship, initiated the issue of expanding BRICS, and the leaders of the countries of the association, including, of course, South Africa, recognized the necessity of this process.
“BRICS will still face the issue of enlargement in the foreseeable future. [...] But [at the forum] in Kazan, of course, new members will join the association. In total, about 25 countries have announced their intention to join BRICS,” the official said.

In an effort to do so, the Ethiopian government has referred to the auction as "inappropriate and immoral," the media reported.
Furthermore, the committee reportedly requested that the auction house start the restitution procedure and send the item back to Ethiopia.
Although Anderson & Garland confirmed receipt of the letter, the organization refrained from offering any additional remarks, the Western media reported.
