Эфиопия призвала Всемирную организацию здравоохранения (ВОЗ) и другие международные организации обеспечить предоставление справедливого и высококачественного медицинского обслуживания в развивающихся странах. Об этом сообщает ENA.

Делегация африканского государства во главе с министром здравоохранения Мекдесом Дабой принимает участие в 77-ой Ассамблее Всемирной организации здравоохранения, которая проходит в Швейцарии под лозунгом «Все ради здоровья, здоровье для всех».
В ходе выступления министр заявила, что доступ к качественным услугам здравоохранения – это право каждого человека. Она подчеркнула: «Нам все еще необходимо многое сделать, чтобы построить сильную систему здравоохранения, которая сможет противостоять рискам и быстро реагировать в случае возникновения чрезвычайных ситуаций».

Даба пояснила, что эфиопские программы медицинского обслуживания, ориентированные на семью, достигли замечательных результатов за счет помощи гражданам в сельских и отдаленных районах.

Ethiopia Calls for More Effort to Provide Quality Healthcare in Developing Nations  - ENA English

Addis Ababa, May 30/2024 (ENA) Ethiopia has called pertinent stakeholder in the international community including the World Health Organization to help enhance the provision of equitable, high-quality healthcare in developing nations in an all-encompassing way.

Ethiopian delegation led by Minister of Health, Mekdes Daba is participating at the Seventy-seventh World Health Organization Assembly being held in Geneva, Switzerland under the theme “All for Health, Health for All.”

Ethiopia’s Minister of Health, Mekdes Daba made statement on various health issues at the assembly.

In her speech to the congregation, the minister said that Ethiopia firmly believes that healthcare is a human right of citizens.

The minister explained that access to international health services should not leave anyone behind, emphasizing the need for quality health services without any differences or borders.

Moreover, she elaborated that the family-centered health service programs in Ethiopia, especially the health extension program, has achieved remarkable results by creating awareness and providing basic health services to citizens in rural and remote areas.

In particular, Mekdes stated that notable outcomes have been attained, in the prevention and controlling of infectious diseases including COVID-19, lowering mortality rates, and enhancing the health of mothers and children.

However, she underlined that “we still need to do more in order to build a strong health system that can withstand health risks and respond quickly when emergencies are encountered.”

While access to health care is a fundamental human right, developing nations like Ethiopia have been facing challenges in providing equitable and high-quality healthcare to their people due to a variety of reasons, including a lack of resources.

Hence, she called on relevant partners and stakeholders, including the World Health Organization, to provide fair and quality health services in a comprehensive manner to the developing countries.

The Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly, a series of strategic roundtables discussions are underway.

Delegates, partner agencies, representatives of civil society and WHO experts have also been discussing current and future priorities for public health issues of global importance.

В Эфиопии зарегистрировано 1,8 млн. случаев заболевания малярией с начала года, есть погибшие | Новости Беларуси|БелТА

31 мая, Минск /Корр. БЕЛТА/. С начала мая в Эфиопии зарегистрировано 314 погибших от малярии и более 1,8 млн. случаев инфицирования с начала 2024 года. Об этом сообщает Синьхуа со ссылкой на данные Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ), опубликованные 30 мая.

Как отмечается в информационном бюллетене, случаи заражения малярией фиксировались в период с 1 по 26 мая в Оромии, Амхаре, а также в Юго-Западном и Южном регионах страны.

Данные ВОЗ показывают негативную тенденцию. Число случаев малярии, зарегистрированных в этом году, в разы превышает их количество за аналогичный период 2023 года. Этот показатель является самым высоким за последние 7 лет.

Как сообщают в организации, представители ВОЗ продолжают поддерживать правительство и жителей страны, доставляя жизненно необходимые материалы для борьбы с малярией и проводя обучение медицинских работников. Однако сообщается об острой нехватке экспресс-тестов для выявления инфекции, особенно в отдаленных районах и районах с затрудненным доступом.

Местные власти заявляют, что продолжающийся сезон дождей в Эфиопии еще больше усугубляет распространение болезни. Во избежание этого представители власти будут способствовать повышению осведомленности и профилактике болезни в регионах.

Пушкина – 225-летие со дня его рождения.

💬 I held fairly long talks with my counterpart Jean-Claude Gakosso and President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso today.

• We noted the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations which were established in March 1964. Since then, our ties have invariably relied on friendship between the people of the Russian Federation and the people of the Republic of the Congo, as well as mutual respect and benefit.

• We maintain a multifaceted political dialogue. In 2023, President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso took part in the second Russia-Africa summit in St Petersburg, and had a separate meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

• We will continue intensive military and military-technical cooperation in the interest of strengthening the defence capability of the Republic of the Congo which fact President Denis Sassou Nguesso has confirmed.

🌐 Our approaches to most international and regional issues overlap. The Republic of the Congo co-sponsored a number of our draft resolutions at the UNGA and traditionally supports our other initiatives. In turn, we stand behind the approaches that the Republic of Congo promotes at multilateral forums.

• We have highlighted the important role of the President of the Republic of the Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, as Chairperson of the African Union High-Level Committee on Libya. We support the proposals that he comes up with in this context, primarily from the point of view of providing a common platform that can be used to unite all political forces in Libya without exception in order to hold general elections.

🇺🇳 We agreed to continue our coordination at the United Nations, where Russia and the Republic of the Congo speak from the position of respect for all principles of the Charter of the UN

💬 Our relations are rapidly developing, largely due to the agreements reached during a meeting of our Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Captain Ibrahim Traoré, at the 2nd #RussiaAfrica Summit last year.

We are grateful for your efficient assistance in finding solutions that helped us reopen our Embassy in Ouagadougou. We are implementing a programme aimed at resuming the operation of Russian diplomatic offices in Africa. Burkina Faso was the first country where we accomplished this quickly and effectively.

🇷🇺🇧🇫 Our relations have a positive history. They are based on mutual sympathy, trust and mutual respect. We maintain active contacts at all levels. Apart from our Presidents’ meetings in St Petersburg last year, the head of Burkina Faso’s interim government, the chairman of its transitional legislative assembly, and other officials and delegations have made working visits to Russia.

Russia's State Duma has a group dedicated to interacting with Burkina Faso and other African countries. Members of the State Duma Dmitry Savelyev and Alexey Chepa, who are present here, are actively working to implement the projects of the People’s Diplomacy Centre. That NGO played a crucial role in establishing the Russian House here, which offers Russian language courses. It will continue to promote our rapprochement and the education of new government members and ministry personnel.

Одно из конкурентных преимуществ Евразийского экономического союза – это открытость к взаимовыгодному и равноправному сотрудничеству со всеми заинтересованными странами. «Уверен, что необходимо расширять связи с СНГ, ШОС, АСЕАН, БРИКС. С отдельными государствами Азии, Африки, Ближнего Востока, Латинской Америки», – заявил Михаил Мишустин.

🇻🇳🇷🇸ЕАЭС уже заключил соглашения о свободной торговле с Вьетнамом и Сербией.

🇨🇳Заключено соглашение о торгово-экономическом сотрудничестве с Китаем.

🇪🇬🇦🇪🇲🇳Прорабатываются договоры с Египтом, ОАЭ и Индонезией.
Ведутся переговоры с Монголией.

🇮🇷Задача на перспективу – обеспечение вступления в силу полноформатного соглашения о свободной торговле с Ираном. Оно уже подписано в декабре прошлого года, Госдума РФ ратифицировала соглашение. Другим членам ЕАЭС предстоит завершить ратификацию.

«Это важно особенно с учетом заинтересованности наших иранских партнеров в углублении взаимодействия с Евразийским экономическим союзом. Мы приветствуем такое намерение и приглашаем Иран к конструктивному диалогу и расширению практического сотрудничества», – отметил глава правительства РФ.
