Sheikhul Islām ibn Taymiyyah raḥimahullāh said:
«لا يوجد في أئمة الفقه الذين يرجع إليهم رافضي، ولا في أئمة الحديث ولا في أئمة الزهد والعبادة، ولا في الجيوش المؤيدة المنصورة جيش رافضي، ولا في الملوك الذين نصروا الإسلام وأقاموه وجاهدوا عدوه مَن هو رافضي، ولا في الوزراء الذين لهم سيرة محمودة من هو رافضي».
“There is no Rafidhi among the imams of Fiqh (jurisprudence to whom the Rafidis are attributed) nor among the imams of hadith, nor among the imams of asceticism and worship, nor in the victorious, supported armies a Rafidhi army, nor among the kings who supported Islam, established it, and fought against its enemy, who is a Rafidi. There is no one among the ministers who have a praiseworthy history who is a Rafidi.” [Minhāj As-Sunnah (1/21).
