The Fruits Of Knowledge

How does fasting 1 month + 6 days equate to fasting an entire year?
The scholars explained that good deeds are multipled tenfolds based on Allāh's saying:
{مَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشۡرُ أَمۡثَالِهَا}
“Whoever comes with a good deed will be rewarded tenfold.”
[Sūrah Al-An‘ām 160]
That means:
1 month x 10 = 10 months
6 days x 10 = 60 days (2 months)
10 + 2 (months) = 12 months (1 year).
📚 [Refer back to the explanation of An-Nawawī]
____
Sheikh Ṣāliḥ Ibn ‘Uthaimīn -raḥimahullāh- was asked the following question:
Many people say, fasting the six days of Shawwāl must begin straight after ‘Eid, otherwise there is no benefit if one does not begin fasting straight after ‘Eid, and the same if they're not done in succession. Please advise us?
The Sheikh answered:
There's no problem if one begins fasting the six days of Shawwāl straight after ‘Eid or delays it until the last part of the month (Shawwāl), and the same goes whether it is done in succession or sporadically. But what is important is that a person begins once they have completed the fasting of Ramaḍhān, so if a person has days to make up, he should prioritise that over fasting the six days of Shawwāl.

The Difference Between The Student Of Knowledge Of The Past And The Present
Ibn Qutaybah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
وكان طالب العلم فيما مضى يسمع ليعلم ويُعلم ، ليعمل ويتفقه في دين الله ، لينتفع وينفع ، فقد صار طالب العلم الآن يسمع ليجمع ، ويجمع ليذكر ، ويحفظ ليغالب ويفخر.
“In the past, a student of knowledge would listen to learn, and learn to act, and gain understanding of the religion in order to benefit himself and others. But now it has become such that they listen in order to [merely] accumulate, and they accumulate in order to be mentioned, and they memorise in order to overcome [others] and boast.”

Don't Possess This Characteristic Of The Jews When Seeking A Fatwaa
مقبل بن هادي الوادعي:
من الناس من يستفتي أهل العلم فإن كانت الفتوى توافق هواه قبلها وإلا أعرض عنها، وهذه صفة من صفات اليهود.
[رياض الجنة ١/١٧]
Ash-Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Haadee Al-Waadi'ee, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
"And among people are those who ask scholars; if the fatwaa agrees with their desires, they will accept it, and if it does not agree (with their desires, they will reject it), and these are characteristics among the characteristics of the Jews."

Should we have any hope in the Rafidha bringing victory to Islam?
NO!
Sheikhul Islām ibn Taymiyyah raḥimahullāh said:
«لا يوجد في أئمة الفقه الذين يرجع إليهم رافضي، ولا في أئمة الحديث ولا في أئمة الزهد والعبادة، ولا في الجيوش المؤيدة المنصورة جيش رافضي، ولا في الملوك الذين نصروا الإسلام وأقاموه وجاهدوا عدوه مَن هو رافضي، ولا في الوزراء الذين لهم سيرة محمودة من هو رافضي».
“There is no Rafidhi among the imams of Fiqh (jurisprudence to whom the Rafidis are attributed) nor among the imams of hadith, nor among the imams of asceticism and worship, nor in the victorious, supported armies a Rafidhi army, nor among the kings who supported Islam, established it, and fought against its enemy, who is a Rafidi.
