O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will; and you should not treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the Mahr [1] you have given them, unless they commit open illegal sexual intercourse; and live with them honourably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allâh brings through it a great deal of good.

The sister's side mistakenly performed rukū' when the Imām said Takbir for sujūd At-Tilāwah
The imām pronounced Takbir and prostrated for sujūd At-Tilāwah (prostration of recitation), but some of the followers, especially among the women, bowed, thinking that the imām had pronounced the Takbir for bowing, only realising after he had risen from prostration. What is the ruling on their actions? And what if the opposite happens, where the imām pronounces Takbir for bowing, but some of the followers prostrate for the prostration of recitation, assuming that the imām had prostrated for recitation?
Sheikh Ibn Bāz raḥimahullāh answered:
Those who bowed while the imām was prostrating for recitation, and only realised after he had risen, should continue with the rest of the prayer following the imām, and they bear no blame because they did not known what the imām did. Similarly, if the imām bowed and a follower mistakenly thought he was prostrating, the follower should rise, bow when the imām bows, and then continue following the imām for the rest of the prayer, and there is no blame on them, as they did not intentionally oppose him, but rather misunderstood the situation. Allāh is the grantor of success.

All these practices are a great evil and trifle with this type of knowledge, which is part of prophethood. Once Malik (may Allah be merciful to him) was asked if it was permissible for any person to interpret Ru’ya, to which he replied: “Is prophethood to be played with?” Malik added: “Only those well-versed in interpreting Ru’ya should do so. If it bears glad tidings, one can narrate it; but if it bears an evil omen, one should say something good or else remain silent.” He was further asked: “Should one interpret it as glad tidings although he knows that it bears an evil omen, as the saying goes: It (a dream) will be realized as interpreted?” He replied: “No, Ru’ya is one part of prophethood which cannot be played with.” All Muslims should cooperate in preventing this evil, every one according to their capacity.

Overburdening a wife with what she cannot do
Question:
A brother who has been married for several years has been constantly telling his wife to keep the house clean, but this problem only gets worse over time. Alhamdulillah, she has other good qualities, but it seems as if with more children the duties of the house are becoming more neglected. He has advised her gently and at times harshly calling her names such as filthy, lazy, living like pig, but her response is excuses and says she does try, but it is clearly not enough. It has come to the point when the brother has threatened to divorce her and does not want to oppress himself and her by sinning and losing patience, even though he still loves her for her good qualities. What is the advice for this brother?
Answer:
The advice for the brother is to fear Allah in relation to his wife. He should not over burden her with what she cannot bear. He is to be gentle with her and be helpful to her and he should not call her names. He should not threaten her with divorce, rather he should show patience and gentleness.

Taking Advantage Of What Is Left Of Ramadhaan
Shaykh Sālih Al-Fawzān - May Allāh preserve him - said:
"Do not wait around for the last ten days to come upon you, then (after that) the month comes to an end. Look, what righteous deeds have you reposited (left behind)? Think about what has passed, what has passed from it? And how will you spend what is left (of it)?
Think about yourselves, for whoever is a good doer, let him continue and complete it with goodness, and whoever is careless and heedless, then let him repent to Allāh for what has past and make up for what remains, for deeds are (judged) by their final endings.
So fear Allāh, oh servants of Allāh, preserve this month of yours which Allāh has made as an opportunity for you in your life, do not waste it, a great month, the month of fasting and standing (i.e., in prayer), in which the gates of hell fire are closed and all the gates of paradise are opened in it, and the devil is shackled in it, and it is said: “Oh, seeker of good, come near and oh seeker of evil, refrain!" and that occurs every night. So answer the invitiation of Allāh, oh servants of Allāh, and do not persist in your negligence and carelessness, for life is short and limited, and the deeds are preserved (i.e., in your book), and you are taken into account and rewarded (for them), so picture your final outcome and rectify your deeds. We ask Allāh - Glorified and sublime be He - to guide us and you in this month and in other than it, and throughout our lives to righteous speech and action."

I then observed i'tikaf in the middle ten days. Then (an angel) was sent to me and I was told that this (night) is among the last ten (nights). Question: We have some Hizbees who, if they want to build a masjid, announce this matter on WhatsApp and elsewhere. So, what is the ruling on this action?
Sheikh Abu Bilal hafidahullah:
This is wrong. I don't I advise with this. This is not appropriate and does not reflect what you all know to be from the Salafi Da‘wah. Making announcements saying "we want this", "we need this", "such and such masjid requires such and such". This is not our way of Da'wah. We neither know [of this approach] nor do we allow anyone to undertake this in our name. We do not permit anyone to announce on WhatsApp or elsewhere that the Masjid Anwar (Sheikh Abu Bilal's masjid in Haami) needs this and needs that. This is not from our Da'wah, and we do not desire this. This is from the methods of those whom you are aware of (Hizbees). It was recently circulated that Masjid Anwar needs a water coolant. We did not speak to anyone about this, not consciously nor in our sleep. By Allah, we did not speak to anyone consciously nor in our sleep; that we need a water coolant. What is this?! This is not our Da'wah. We do not call to this from before nor after. And that a hundred and thirty students will drink from it. They will drink this much, and you will receive this much reward. O people, this is not appropriate. No one should spread anything about our centre without permission. No one should spread anything about our centre without my permission. This affair, "We need, we need" is closed a door.
Question: So what is the ruling on this action? Is this considered a sign of Hizbiyyah?
Sheikh: Yes, this is their way. They spread this widely. "We want this, and we need this."
The door of intercession is a religious matter, O brothers, let's not conflate between this and that. Intercession is matter of religion, and the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, interceded, but not in this way. Rather, in situations where a person needs intercession, intercede. But in this manner of widespread dissemination, we are not aware of this from our scholars nor anyone else among the people of Sunnah who does this. Rather, they consider this among the signs of the Hizbees, and they consider this begging, like what is being done whereby they spread it on WhatsApp; "We want this, and we need this. Donate this...We have a masjid called Birr Al-Waalidayn, contribute this much. Each person should contribute what they have."
Intercede with your brother. There is nothing wrong with this; it's a desirable form of intercession with relation to masjids, without the need to circulate it on WhatsApp that we have masjid birr al-walidayn. Nowadays, there are many masjids called birr al-waalidayn with shares being offered like this and like that, and it's widely announced. And many people exploit these things for their own interests.
Question: How do we amass funds if we want to build?
Sheikh: Intercede with the people of good if the country needs a masjid, intercede with the people of the Town. It may be a duty upon you to intercede for them; if you are someone whose intercession is listened to, then intercede. You may need to intercede because this is one of the most important things. It's one of the necessary things that the people of the country need if they don't have a masjid, or if the masjid they have is not sufficient for the people, and so they need a masjid in another part of the village. Intercede for them, holding your head high, without writing such things or spreading such things in your name or in someone else's name. Communicate with people of goodness and intercede for them; in those things that people deserve to be interceded for.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Intercede, and you will be rewarded. And Allah decrees upon the tongue of His Prophet what He wants."
Allah said: "Whoever intercedes with a good intercession will have a share of it. And whoever intercedes with a bad intercession will have a share of it." Allah encourages intercession, but not in these methods.

Question: When is it permissible to raise funds for masjids in non-Muslim countries, given that there are no funding from the government?
Sheikh Abdulhameed Az-Zu'kari ḥafidhahullāh:
There is no harm in directing [people] to goodness in order to establish those masjids and prayer halls in non-Muslim and polytheistic countries. This is part of elevating the word of Allāh and cooperating in righteousness and piety. The one who directs to goodness will have the reward of the one who acts upon it. However, they should not follow the Hizbee approach of setting up charity boxes and passing through the worshippers [seeking funds] and making collections after every Friday prayer. Rather, they direct good doers with encouraging words like, "If you were to contribute to the benefit of this masjid, or appoint an imam for this masjid, or rent this masjid, you would have a great." They will be rewarded for every prayer offered and every Āyah recited therein. And its ruling is like that of someone who builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, if Allah wills, with sincerity and seeking reward. Even if these places may be rented, during the rental duration they are considered masjids and have the same rulings.
