Three Things That Can Save You, And Three Things That Can Destory You
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"ثلاث منجيات: خشية الله تعالى في السر والعلانية والعدل في الرضا والغضب والقصد في الفقر والغنى وثلاث مهلكات: هوى متبع وشح مطاع وإعجاب المرء بنفسه."
"Three things can save a person:
1. Fear of Allaah in private and public.
2. Fairness in happiness and anger.
3. Generosity in both poverty and wealth.
And three things can destroy a person:
1. Desires that are followed,
2. Greed that is obeyed.
3. A person being amazed and pleased with themselves."

"Knowledge is to transfer the image of a given thing and establish it in the heart, and action is to transfer the theoretical image from the heart and establish it in the world. Therefore, if the one which is established in the heart corresponds to the reality, then it is true knowledge."

Benefit 18: Why don't Salafees celebrate the Prophet’s birthday?
ANSWER:
They don't celebrate the Prophet's birthday because:
● There's not a single Āyah in the Qurʿān endorsing this celebration.
● There's not a single ḥadīth from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ endorsing this celebration, whether authentic or inauthentic.
● There's not a single Athar from any of the Companions regarding this celebration, whether authentic or inauthentic.
● The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ did not celebrate it during his lifetime, nor did any of his Companions or family members establish it for him.
● This celebration was non-existent during the lifetime of the four rightly guided Caliphs (Abū Bakr, ’Umar, ’Uthmān and ’Ali).
● It was non-existent during the lifetime of the four great Imāms (Abū Ḥanīfah, Mālik, Shāfi’ē and Aḥmad).
● It was non-existent during the lifetime of the first three generations; concerning whom the Prophet ﷺ said:
((خيرُ الناس قَرْنِي، ثم الذين يَلُونَهُم، ثم الذين يَلُونَهُم))
“The best generation is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them.”
As such, we say as Imām Mālik raḥimahullāh said:
ما لم يكُن يومئذ دِينًا، فلن يكون اليوم دِينًا.
“Whatever was not part of the religion then, will not be part of the religion today.”
💡We know for sure that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ did not pass away until Allāh had completed the religion and perfected the blessing upon him, as Allāh said:
{الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا}
“Today I have perfected for you your religion, and completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as a religion.”
💡And he ﷺ warned us against innovating new practices into the religion, as he ﷺ said:
((مَن أَحدثَ في أَمرِنا هذا ما ليس مِنه، فهو رَدٌّ)).
“Whoever introduces into this matter of ours something that is not part of it, will have it rejected.”
▪️ In summary, those who permit/celebrate the Prophet’s birthday have no evidence whatsoever from the Qurʿān, Sunnah, Consensus, action of the Companions, or correct analogy (Qiyās).
And if you are still in doubt, then please answer the following four questions:
1️⃣ Is celebrating the Prophet's birthday an act of obedience or disobedience?
▪️ If you say it is an act of disobedience, the discussion ends here.
▪️ And if you say it is an act of obedience, then move onto the next question:
2️⃣ Did the Prophet ﷺ know about this act of obedience or was he ignorant of it?
▪️I don't think you will accuse the Prophet ﷺ of ignorance; because this is Kufr. Hence the discussion ends here.
▪️But if you say he knew about it, then we move onto the next question:
3️⃣ If he knew about it, did he ﷺ convey it to his Ummah?
▪️ I don't think you will accuse the Prophet ﷺ of concealing part of the message while Allāh ﷻ has said:
{يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ}
“O Messenger, convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not do so, then you have not conveyed His message.”
▪️ And if you say he conveyed it, then we say, where is the evidence?
If you produce some evidence, then we move onto the final question:
4️⃣ Is it conceivable that first three generations of this Ummah were ignorant of these evidences while you are more knowledgeable than them?! Or did they know about it and avoid acting upon it, but you were guided to act upon it?!

We ask Allāh ﷻ, Lord of the Great Throne, to guide us all to the truth and the straight path. May Allāh’s peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet and Messenger, Muḥammad ibn ’Abdullah, his family, his companions, his wives, and whoever follows his guidance until the Day of Judgment.
ANSWER:
They don't celebrate the Prophet's birthday because:
● There's not a single Āyah in the Qurʿān endorsing this celebration.

How To Dispell The Shaytaan From You In The Prayer
'Uthmaan Ibn Abee Al-'Aas, may Allaah be pleased with him, reported that he came to Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said:
"O Allaah's Messenger, the Shaytaan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur'aan, and he confuses me. Thereupon Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:, 'That is (the doing of a) Shaytaan (devil) who is known as Khanzab, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allaah from it and spit dryly three times to your left.' I did that, and Allaah dispelled that from me."
[Saheeh Muslim, No. 2203]
'Uthmaan Ibn Abee Al-'Aas, may Allaah be pleased with him, reported that he came to Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said:
"O Allaah's Messenger, the Shaytaan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur'aan, and he confuses me. Shaykh Ibn Baaz, may Allaah have mercy on him, said:
"There is nothing wrong with turning during the prayer to seek refuge with Allaah from the accursed Shaytaan when experiencing his whispers. In fact, it is recommended in the case of urgent need, by turning the head only, because the Prophet ﷺ instructed ‘Uthmaan Ibn Abee Al-‘Aas Ath-Thaqafi (may Allaah be pleased with him) to do that when he complained to him of what he was experiencing of the whispers of the Shaytaan. He told him to spit dryly to his left three times and to seek refuge with Allaah from the Shaytaan. He did that and Allaah healed him of that."
[Majmuu‘ Al-Fataawaa Ibn Baaz, 11/130]

"If a person seeks refuge with Allaah from the accursed Shaytaan and spits dryly to his left, that does not matter and does not interrupt his prayer; rather this makes the prayer more complete and more perfect."

قال الشيخ محمد بن صالح العثيمين رحمه الله:
إذا نزع ( الحياء ) من المرأة فلا تسأل عن سوء عاقبتها .

"If someone neglects to address the sickness within their heart, they face the consequence of its exacerbation, as Allaah, Exalted be He states: 'There is sickness [of doubt and hypocrisy] in their hearts, and Allaah only lets their sickness increase.' (Al-Quraan 2:10). Without a doubt, the repercussions of a sickness in the heart surpass the trials of losing a child, family, or wealth!"

The Severe Consequence Of Taking The Wrongdoer's Side
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم "مَنْ أَعَانَ عَلَى خُصُومَةٍ بِظُلْمٍ - أَوْ يُعِينُ عَلَى ظُلْمٍ - لَمْ يَزَلْ فِي سَخَطِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَنْزِعَ."
It is narrated from 'Abdullaah Ibn 'Umar, may Allaah be pleased with them, that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:
“Whoever takes the wrongdoer's side in a dispute or supports wrongdoing, he will remain subject to the wrath of Allaah until he gives it up.”
[Sunan Ibn Maajah, No. 2320. Graded 'Hasan' By Ask-Shaykh Al-Albaanee in 'As-Silsilah As-Saheehah, No. 1021]

The Consequences Of Having Bad Thoughts About Allaah
Ash-Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan, may Allaah preserve him:
"Having a good opinion of Allaah, 'Azza wa Jal, is one of the obligations of Tawheed. Having a bad opinion about Allaah, Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa, contravenes Tawheed, either the very foundation, or its perfection. The foundation is negated if bad opinion increases and persists. The perfection is negated if the bad opinion is something transient or modest which is not articulated, but if articulated, it negates Tawheed."
