Systematic violence against Alawites in the village of Musa continues amid a troubling silence and apparent disregard.

For weeks, a known armed group has terrorized the village, targeting homes with direct gunfire and grenades thrown through windows and doors, leading to the deaths of four men and the displacement of over 80% of the Alawite population.

In the latest incident on Thursday, May 8, 2025, the group reportedly opened fire from a house window at a family sitting down for dinner, seriously wounding:

Her father was reportedly detained and pressured to sign legal paperwork which agreed on this fabricated story now surfacing (essentially agreeing to her release), highlighting the coercion and abuse surrounding her case.

This is not just a kidnapping, but an act of open slavery disguised as faith, enforced by weapons and fear. Her face alone reveals the silent terror of countless others who remain in captivity.

Sheikh Ali Kasoun, Hama | Alawite Mother Pleads for Return of Abducted Sons

A mother from the village of Sheikh Ali Kasoun in the eastern countryside of Hama is appealing for the safe return of her two sons, Ali Samir Salama (22) and Hassan Samir Salama (23), who were abducted by armed groups and taken to an unknown location.

Mira's Father Recounts Her Disappearance

I am Mira's father. My daughter, a second-year student at the Teacher Preparation Institute in Homs, had two remaining subjects before graduation. Given the security situation, I hesitated to send her back, but the institute's administration called, urging us to let her complete her exams.

On the day of the exam, I accompanied her to the institute. I waited outside, expecting her to finish by 10:30 AM. When she didn't come out, I searched the building but found no trace of her. Staff initially claimed she had an exam, but later denied any knowledge of her whereabouts.
