Media is too big

Haven’t been this supportive and inspired by a designer like this before 😭 just because I believe in the work he does so much ☹️ this screen record will live in my phone forever 🪄🍓
On a tug o war between posting and not posting for a while now (believe me HAHA) and this is not to say that reading this was comforting…. but it makes me think of other ways we find community now or a space where mundanity is accepted like before. Where curiosities are greeted and welcomed at the door too. I kept saying to people how I miss the old internet: (Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr specifically) and how we are on all of these platforms, but we still felt a sense of identity sprinkled all over the place without having it suck our souls so much or feel indulgent. I honestly don’t know where this is all headed, but I would surely miss people posting or sharing genuine things they just find interesting or what amused them.

Because isn’t that the purpose of all of this? Social media has glossed over the idea of a perfect life, maybe because we all feel like the world is dying so there’s this intense urge to have it seem like we have control over something. But to end up with a common ‘joke’ or understanding that “social media isn’t real,” what are we trying to achieve here at the end of the day then? 🫤 Like if all was said and done (and it seemed like it is or we are at the peak of it hahaha), what comes after this hyper editing of reality and what does that say about where we are also headed as humans?

Big questions at 8am in the morning hahahaha but really…. is there a reality where the breakfast photo can still thrive and how do we bring it back? 🙇🏻♀️
With all that ramble I forgot to link here!

Are You Experiencing Posting Ennui?
Sharing casual moments from our lives on social media doesn’t seem to make sense the way it used to.

I think it’s a life long dream to have a creative agency (that can go double meaning) that just does the work and work that’s done well. I’ve always looked up to Chandelier for this and mainly their ethos / approach in everything they touch. It’s refreshing to discover people who just exude such a liberated take on creativity in the midst of the collapse and seriousness of things. At the end of the day, there is nothing I’d rather be in a constant state in than a childlike eagerness to just make things and having to pursue a life where all your interests come into play and are welcome. 🎨
