Back in Singapore. Every time I come back, I feel like I’m home.

I flew back a few days ago from Phuket, where I filmed an interview with yet another billionaire.
I don’t usually get nervous before interviews, but this was one of those rare cases. He is not an easy person to get. It took time to agree on the interview, the meeting location changed twice, and in the end I was supposed to meet him at his house in Phuket.
Thirty minutes before the meeting, my cameraman calls me and says, “Max, I have an emergency,” and the call drops. I’m not joking, just like that haha. At the same time, I see a WhatsApp message from my billionaire guest saying he needs to leave earlier than we planned.
Damn.
Not the best situation.
I’m not panicking, but I can feel that one of my most epic interviews might not happen. On top of that, at this very moment I’m driving the winding roads of Phuket haha.
Turns out the cameraman couldn’t pick up the cameras from a storage place where he left them. Luckily, I always carry a backup camera and a couple of mics. So I drive to my guest and start filming myself while the cameraman sorts things out on his side.
In the end, everything works out. We start by filming a tour of his huge house in a vlogging style. The cameraman arrives during that, sets everything up quickly, and we continue with a proper sit-down interview.
I leave the house happy with the result.
The takeaway is simple. You need to be ready for anything and have strong enough communication skills to sort things out with everyone involved.
These skills are built over time, and that’s exactly what we’ll work on at my networking retreat in Phuket in February-March. I’m putting together a small group of interesting people, and we’ll go there to level up, build connections, and have a lot of fun together. No boring business card exchanges, but more like a summer camp for high-level adults haha.
I’m also including a meeting with a billionaire, a behind-the-scenes look at how I do interviews, and a serious energy boost for everyone attending.

Just bought tickets to Dubai. Super excited. Last time I was there was in 2014. The place probably changed a little bit since then haha

Time is more valuable than money.
I remember a period a few years ago in my previous business when we had stabilized our revenue streams. The business model was working, the team of 45 people was running quite autonomously, and the processes were in place.
It wasn’t the most profitable period compared to others, but it was the time when I felt the most balanced and happy. The business required minimal involvement from me, and I truly felt that my time belonged to ME.
If I ask 10 people in Singapore what they lack most in life, 8 will say time. Time in general, and time for themselves in particular. Even simple things. A calm evening routine. Reading a book. Meditating. Standing under a warm shower not for 5 minutes, but for 20. Or even taking a bath. Unthinkable.
I know that most people are busy. Especially those who are successful in business and their careers.
So I decided to bring together a small group for a SHORT but super productive and fun retreat in Phuket. A getaway where they can spend time on themselves without disappearing for weeks from work, family, or business. I want it to be genuinely useful and interesting. We’ll do networking, but not the formal and boring exchange of business cards. Real connections. Real relationship building. And properly developing this skill.
On top of that, I’ve arranged for a billionaire to host our group at his incredible mansion. This is the kind of experience that doesn’t happen very often in life.
We’re planning to go on this networking retreat together in March. I’ll finalize the dates soon.

Are you interested in how I find guests for my interviews? After three years of doing this, I’ve developed my own system to find, assess, and persuade people to participate. If you want, I can record a voice message explaining how I do it.

I explained my strategy for how I find guests for my interviews, including billionaires, celebrities, and politicians. Sorry for the long voice message, but I wanted to share my perspective on how I approach networking.

Immersing myself in British life for two weeks, trying to get a sense of what life there is like. Interesting, not as bad as I thought haha. Just very, very cold. And yes, don’t tell me that Russians don’t feel it, I really hate being cold.
Also talking to foreigners and asking what they like and don’t like about living here. Will make a YouTube video out of it (of course!).
