About whiteboards, in Wilson College there’s a huge library with study rooms that were furnished with a table, chairs, whiteboard, sometimes a TV and a projector.
I think I picked up this habit of visualizing things on the whiteboard exactly there.
Another very creative thing I noticed in US colleges – people hang small “DoorBoards” outside their rooms where they write quotes or leave notes.
Professors had them outside their office doors. Students – on their dorm rooms.
The way they organize them is actually such a beautiful way of expression. Each one is unique and has a personal touch.

Assyl had been studying with me for two weeks. In her first exam, she scored 6.0 in Speaking and reached out to me asking for help, considering a One-Skill Retake.
After conducting a Mock Exam, I gave her constructive feedback along with a personalized 2-week Speaking course targeting her specific areas for improvement. As she already had a solid background in General English, all we had to focus on was Fluency & Coherence and Pronunciation.
She turned out to be one of the most hardworking and diligent students. I’d see her recording voice messages and practicing IELTS questions as early as 6am and as late as 11pm. She completed every assignment on time and with full attention.
Her hard work indeed paid off, and witnessing that makes me proud.

There's so much behind this word. Teacher is not only a person who gives information or guidance. It's a person who walks you through every challenge and setback. It's a person who sees your small wins, who sees your frustration when you don't get the question right, who sees how you're shaping yourself over time. How you’re progressing and getting better. A better version of yourself. Teacher is a person who believes in you more than yourself before your exam, who sees that potential in you and reminds you of what you truly are capable of.
