I have that thing where I wanna cheat discipline and do bigger projects than I am skilled enough to do. imo this is easier to avoid when I like doing what I do. Blender modeling isn't fun to me, but shader programming I've never had an issue with.

Maybe it's because I'm able to control my own expectations when it comes to shaders.
I'll never be able to make an Alyx bottle shader, but I could totally whip up a parallax/raymarching/procedural thing and I *know* I can look for stuff to improve/optimize/add. (and feel like i'm making progress)
