ALX Ethiopia partnered with the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) to support the delivery of a 10-day entrepreneurship bootcamp for the AI UniPod Program, powered by Timbuktoo in partnership with EAII and Addis Ababa University (AAU).
The program brought together 25 founders building AI-driven ventures, with ALX Ethiopia co-leading the business and venture-building component. Across the 10 days, founders explored key areas including customer discovery, problem validation, business models, pricing, Go-to-Market strategy, institutional sales, team building, pitching, and investment readiness.
The bootcamp combined practical frameworks, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, enabling founders to apply their learning directly to their ventures.
Through this partnership, ALX Ethiopia contributed its entrepreneurship development expertise to help bridge the gap between AI innovation and venture building, supporting founders to develop stronger business models, understand their markets, and build more sustainable and scalable technology-driven ventures.

Today, my team had a Google Meet discussion about one of the most important parts of building a startup:
Acquisition Channels.
It sounds simple:
βHow do customers find us?β
But thereβs a deeper question:
Why would they stop, pay attention, and want to learn more?
Your acquisition channel is the bridge between your solution and your first customer.
It could be:
- LinkedIn
- TikTok
- Communities
But the goal isnβt to be everywhere.
The goal is to find the channel where your customers already are.
One lesson Iβm taking from today:
- Donβt build first and hope people discover you.
- Understand how people discover you, then build for them.
Building a startup is teaching me that distribution can be just as important as the product itself.

NVIDIA AI SERVERS COULD GET 15%+ MORE EXPENSIVE
NVIDIA has reportedly warned some of its biggest customers that AI servers using its chips could become more than 15% more expensive for systems shipping in early 2027.
The increase is reportedly being driven largely by soaring memory-chip costs, and could affect systems using NVIDIAβs flagship Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell platforms. Major data-center customers including Microsoft, Google and Oracle are reportedly being notified.
