Legislating for "the creation of a thought crime."

Congratulations to Paul Murphy TD
for this outstanding defence of Free Speech today in Dáil Éireann.

We need more opposition TDs to stand up the dystopian repercussions of this Hate Speech bill.
“You might vehemently disagree with them, but the ability to hear them and understand them is a central underpinning of a university education. And a central underpinning ultimately of a mature society and democracy.”

"Public consultation on the bill received 4,000 responses"...

We see this line repeated by a few media outlets re the Hate Speech Bill. Yet they neglect to mention nearly all responses were negative.

We fully support councillor Paddy Holohan with this very important announcement.

Cross-partisan opposition from elected representatives like Paddy is key to pushing back on the draconian Hate Speech Bill.
