Murtada Hassan Mhanna, born in 1983 in Maroun Al-Ras, an employee of the Maroun Al-Ras municipality, returned to his home near Bint Jbeil.

There, he was suddenly surprised by an invading "Israeli" infantry patrol that invaded Bint Jbeil, stormed his house and captured him on February 16, 2025, amid the "ceasefire". Traces of blood were found inside the house, and his fate remains unknown to this day.

Atwi Mohammed Atwi, the official of the Islamic Group in Hasbaya and Marjayoun, southern Lebanon, was abducted from his home in the village of Al-Hebbariyeh in the early morning hours of Monday, February 9, 2026. Around 4:00 am, Zionist forces invaded Al-Hebbariyeh -- of which Atwi Atwi formerly served as mayor -- which sits at least 4 kilometers from the border with occupied Palestine. According to reports, the invading "Israeli" force reached the house on foot through olive groves and stormed it while Atwi and his wife were inside.

Five Zionist soldiers entered the house, one of them masked, and assaulted both of them. The wife was then taken to the kitchen, handcuffed and blindfolded. The force later withdrew through the olive grove, leaving behind a large stretcher. Witnesses from the town reported that three military jeeps were seen leaving the center of the town toward Jabal al-Saddaneh via a paved road running through wooded areas.

Atwi Atwi is a prominent community leader, and a leader of the Islamic Group, which the United States designated as a so-called "foreign terrorist organization" on January 13, 2026, seemingly providing the Zionists with a "green light" for just such an attack and invasion and underlining the ongoing U.S. role and complicity in the attacks on Lebanon, including repeated assassinations, bombings, drone strikes and abductions.

Indeed, the Zionist military and security agencies have since boasted of their "accomplishment" of abducting a political figure from his village in the middle of the night while the resistance has continued to uphold its commitment to the ceasefire of November 2024. There are now more Lebanese prisoners abducted after the ceasefire than prior to it, with at least 21 Lebanese imprisoned in Zionist jails since 2024, with three additional historic figures who have been the subject of enforced disappearance by the Zionist regime for decades.

Shadi Karami Abdel-'Al, 35, is married with three children. On the night of March 24, 2026, an Israeli force penetrated the Halta farm in the Kfar Shuba municipality in the Arqoub area, and kidnapped Abdel-'Al. As the occupation forces withdrew, they opened fire on people who came to the scene, which led to the martyrdom of Mohamed Abdel-'Al and the injury of Ashraf Al-Qadiri with a bullet in the pelvis.

Legal Agenda reported that the following day, the Israeli army admitted to carrying out the operation inside Lebanese territory, claiming that they had abducted a man involved with the Resistance, and that elements of the “Igoz” unit, under the command of the 210th Division, carried out the operation. However, this statement did not contain Abdel-'Al's name, his place of detention, or any information that would allow his family to verify his condition.

Four young Lebanese men are missing: Where are they? Their families demand answers

Ali Mousa Qashmar
Jawad Shadi Bazzi
Hadi Kamal al-Raqqa
Mohammed Ali Hassan

Join their families for a sit-in at the Government Palace in Beirut on Wednesday, June 24 at 6 pm.

On Monday, 15 June, Ali Qashmar, Jawad Bazzi, Hadi al-Raqqa and Mohammed Hassan traveled to South Lebanon from Dahiyeh. Hours later, their families lost all contact with them – Hadi al-Raqqa and Jawad Bazzi disappeared near Wadi al-Hujair, while Mohammed Hassan and Ali Qashmar disappeared near Beit Yahoun. Their families have received no news from the “coordination mechanism” with the occupation army and the U.S., from the Lebanese government, from civil defense or other institutions. Despite social media reports that they were abducted by invading Zionist forces, their families have received no confirmation of these claims.

Join them to demand the truth about their sons’ fate.

Capt. Ahmad Ali Shukr, 69, is a retired Captain in the Lebanese General Security from the town of Nabi Chit in the Beqaa Valley. He disappeared on December 17, 2025, as he traveled to Zahle for what was presented to him as a meeting about a real estate purchase. Lebanese investigators have confirmed the suspicions of his family that he was abducted by the Zionist Mossad and kidnapped from Lebanon through the occupied area of Jabal al-Shaykh in Syria.

Four individuals, including one Lebanese suspect who is currently detained, have been charged by the Lebanese military courts with crimes related to working with the Mossad in exchange for money in order to kidnap Capt. Shukr. Three suspects remain wanted, a Lebanese woman, one person with Lebanese an French citizenship, and one person with Syrian and Swedish citizenship.

His family has received no official information about his whereabouts or legal status, and neither they nor the International Committee of the Red Cross have been allowed to communicate with him. His relatives have described the case as a possible enforced disappearance and arbitrary detention under international law and have submitted an urgent request for registration and referral to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

Shawqi Attiyeh is one of three farmers who was abducted from the town of Rashaya al-Fukhar in Hasbaya district in South Lebanon on May 19, 2026, by invading Zionist occupation soldiers, along with his brother, Ahmad Attiyeh, and their cousin, Ali Attiyeh. All three are from the village of Halta and were out in their orchards in Rashaya al-Fukhar planting their land when an occupation forces invaded the area and abducted a number of farmers.

After hours of detention and interrogation, their mobile phones confiscated, several of the farmers were released, while the three men of the Attiyeh family remained captive. In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Iman Shibli, Shawqi's wife, said that her husband and family are forced to work the fields "under the eyes of the occupation" due to the difficult living conditions and economic situation.

“We are a family that lives day by day from the labor of the land. If my husband and his brother do not go to the fields, we cannot provide food for our children....We have not seen any serious movement from the Lebanese state or the responsible officials to reassure us or inform us of the fate of our loved ones. Are we not citizens of this state? We only want to know their fate and hear any news that will comfort our hearts.”

They went to work in the morning and did not come back. We are waiting for any news, any phone call, or anything to reassure us that they are okay. All we want right now is for him to return to us safely.”

They did not go to attack anyone or carry out any security activity — only to earn a living. They are oppressed farmers. Today we are living in total confusion. These young men are the support and primary breadwinners for our households. More than 30 people — women, children and elderly family members — depend directly on them for their daily sustenance, and now we are all left without support.”

On 26 June 2026, the Lebanese government and the Zionist entity, under the auspices of the United States, announced the signing of a so-called "framework agreement" that poses an extreme danger to the people, land and future of Lebanon. In reality, this agreement provides only a framework for the surrender of South Lebanon, its people, its villages and its land; normalization with the Zionist entity; attacks against the Lebanese Resistance -- the sole source of self-defense for the Lebanese people against ongoing Zionist aggression; submission to United States tutelage and Zionist occupation; relinquishment of the legal, political and natural rights of the Lebanese people; and abandonment of the dozens of Lebanese prisoners currently held in occupation prisons.

As the International Campaign to Free Lebanese Prisoners, we join the Lebanese people, a broad array of political movements, and the Resistance -- and the global movement that stands against U.S. imperialism and Zionist colonialism -- in expressing our outrage at this dangerous "framework agreement," and our commitment to work for the liberation of Lebanese prisoners and of all Lebanese land from the Zionist occupation entity.
